94 mustang gt has no spark . i just installed a new engine had it running and was adjusting the timing when the car stalled. Now i have no spark. Any idea what to look for??

Check and test the coil making sure you have power to the coil, using the 12v test light. If you are getting juice, check distributor and rotors and all plugs wires. no juice, now you have to trace back why you not getting power to the coil, also check the crank position sensor,making sure is in working condition. Crank sensor sense the turning of the crank and send the message to the computer, telling computer to send the single to the coil telling it to disperse the charge from the coil to distributor. If crank sensor is good than it will be computer. Hope that help some..remember, if you adjust timing by rotating distributor, make adjustment in 1.00 mm at a time. anymore you can be out of timing.

4.6L (4V) = valve count per cyl.


stick shift M/T ,or A/T box.??? (a/t clutch can jam)
or will not sustain running. (I can not see it stall or hear it)
there are a huge list of causes and 20 or more tests
I can do a 100 pages text, just on this. causes are vast.
test 1:
with fast right foot at start can you keep it running?????
ever get a tune up fully in 25 years>? oops
test 2 of 100
start engine with , radio and blower and head lamps all on
do they all go dead at STALL, (as engine stalls )
try new spark spark plugs and HV wire sets, if distributor there, cap and rotor new? (not there sure) but wire sets are. there.
spark plugs 200k miles old? 100k is max max.
clean filters?
battery main 12vdc charged fully and lugs clean.?
oil lever good
fuel pressure good
engine cylinder compression tests pass. over 150psi.

if all electrics die at stall that means some kind if 12vdc power loss.
fuses all good?
scan the PCM is best to see if it sees errors, called DTC,
like P03xx errors that kill spark. or show any problems.
and more we must scan first, or waste vast amounts if time gue$$ing

looks like all 3 engines use wasted spark , no distributor
one engine has 3 coil pack to run 6cylinders.
others have 2x2 packs the V*8
I will stop here NO ENGINE TOLD AT All and I flat refuse to do all 3.

the car needs service, using tools and skills.
you can check fuse
you can scan it,
you can try to start the engine in Neutral.
or start car with driven wheels (L/R) raised unloading tranny if it is jammed.
jumper cable jump starts off line other car running , battery theirs
this solves 12vdc power uses on some.

What would cause Suzuki Aerio to stall and not start again. Checked fuses, no exhaust coming out of tail pipe when I turn it over. Lots of battery.

over 50 causes. Id never guess. why would I?
what works best is called Diagnosis, saving a ton of cash
on wasted parts Gue$$ing.

Ok tank is full of fuel?. (lots of gas?) so is one of 6 engines not 7.
will not start.
but all cars must crank fast to start. cranking its called.
go to netflix, click, Henry Ford watch him crank his car.
funny to watch, and is why we call it cranking....
my car push starts and gravity starts. (w/starter in car missing)

so does it crank? fast?, the crank shaft pulley in front of
engine spins fast, and then fails to start the engine>?
my wild guess is YES. it cranks good.

i decode "lots of battery "is (cranks fast)?
if yes, check for spark next , even to the point of new spark plugs
got 200k on those spark plugs do you?
ever get a tune up ever?
cranks >>>starts >>>runs...and not stall.
if it has spark ,it will run on test fuel ,does it?

1.3 L I4; 1.5 L I4; 1.6 L I4; 1.8 L I4; 2.0 L I4; 2.3 L I4; 1.4 L Diesel I4 we can not guess engines, it must be stated.

does your engine have cam timing belt, if yes, ever replace it in
last 60k miles. per the operators guide.?

did you have an amp test on the altonator? should be running about 14 plus volts with the car running then check it with the lights on if you can

try replacing the EEC relay and fuel pump relay,i have run into this problem on some fords before,they are relatively cheap and easy to replace,thay are under the hood,hope this helps

1989 mustang stalls when stopping

You might want to replace the spark plugs and distributor cap. It could be that your getting bad spark or that your timing is off. If it is carburetted there could be an adjusting screw that can adjust the amount of gas flow from the carburettor to the engine. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to get it checked out before doing any of these things yourself unless you know what your getting into. Hope that i could be to some help if any at all. Good luck with your car!
P.S. check out cash for cluckers, you can get a good amount of money towards a new car (4-5 grand) for trading in those old beaters.

Car stalls, odometer has dashes, fuel and spark OK

I wiould try to start it without the chip installed. If that works I would say the chip is the issue.

Check engine light on after fuel line disconnected

try disconnecting the  (- ) battery terminal for a few minutes and reconnecting it.

Check the basics, fuel pressure, fuel filter plugged, spark plugs, dirty air filter, coil output-use an old spark plug and watch spark intensity. Could be a plugged cat. Good luck!!
