SOURCE: Hi what this warning mins ( trans hot idle engine)

It means that the transmission oil is overheating and you need to cool the oil by allowing the engine to idle for a period of time . The transmission oil cooler is in the radiator and that means that the engine temperature will also be running hot . Check oil level in transmission and adjust to correct level. Check the load being carried /towed as this makes the transmission torque converter work harder and the speed you are travelling at What ever the reason I suggest that you run the fault codes to check for transmission problems

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SKIPS ALSO FLUID GETS HOT AND I LOOSE 3rd&o-d

sorry but your trans has went out. 3rd and over drive are on same shaft with different control solenoids once fluid gets hot not enough pressure for gears to engage internal wear and tear of system . have trans rebuilt or rebuilt unit installed or good used trans. jaspers used trans are warranted you can find them on line.

My 2002 yukon will not go in reverse--

this means the reverse clutch has failed, u are going to need the trans overhauled to fix the problem and the lines and trans cooler flushed out along with the torque converter.

4l60e trans. will not shift out of 3rdgear...

Have it scanned. Have the person who scans it pay particular attention to the Transmission temp sensor. If the Transmission temp sensor tells the ecm the transmission is cold, it won't shift to 4th. Also if it thinks the transmission is too hot it won't allow a 3-4 shift.
