How to replace the back up light on a 2004 Sebring

depending which one is being replaced usually not bad. however some require a frost plug install tool that has a flex able head to get into tight spaces. it maybe best to have a shop replace it as it makes a mess.

Panels usually push on with plastic clips or screws,some screws are hidden behind push in plug covers.

Probably not a cheap fix.
The car will not pass the test if the light is on during the test.
The light is on when the computer has a problem that will affect emissions or performance.
You would need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes then fix the problem. Once the problem is fixed and the code is erased, the light should stay off.

Burned out wiring bridge. Get to wiring harness once you open the engine compartment and check for crispy or melted wires.

Check around the MAP sensor area for any connections that may have been disturbed while you were replacing the sensor. Most or all of those functions are controlled by the body control module. I would think that a fault like that would show on the scanner readouts.

You'll need to remove the intake plenum. From there you can access the plugs and wires.

The roatating knob that turns on the headlight pulls out to turn on the fog lights, but only pulls out when the headlights are on,
