Try putting some fuel in. That should start your vehicle.

SOURCE: 1999 GMC Jimmy won't start.

firstly where is fuel pump relay as i have never seen a GMC jimmy sorry about that but have you ever seen a foden ?? well the first thing is to check the fuse,if fuse is ok which can be checked by looking at it as its transparent or a piece of wire with a light bulb .across the battery.to find the relay is easy if you dont know where it is,When this piece of americana decides to work just turn ignition on and listen for the click of relay ,then when it doesnt start listen for click again or rather an absence of a click, sounds more like a dodgy pump in the tank or the connections going to it.when it wont start try thumping the fuel tank with the ignition on and if it is a sticky pump you might hear it start then at least you will know where the fault is.Another fault that i have come across with relays is that where the relay is passing a heavy load then its possibe for the contacts to burn inside the relay. When this happens then if it is possible to seperate the relay cover and clean the contacts with a points file (remember them ) or a piece of fine emery paper if the cover breaks taking it apart then use a bit of black insulating tape to repair the cover.Thats assuming the pump is in the tank and not bolted to the chassis near the fuel tank but that design with external pump i havent seen on a europeon car for nearly 20yrs .

SOURCE: 1998 GMC Jimmy Fuel Pump Failure?

Your on the right track with the fuel pump test, chanses are its the pump thats went out. its best to have two people one to turn key and one to listen out side of car, the best way to hear if it runs. Now don't be fooled just because you hear the pump it can run and still not put out any pressure, thats ware the test comes in.

SOURCE: 1994 GMC Sierra 2500 won't start

definitely could be something smaller. Like a relay....even a filter.
Few things to try:
Just turn the key to on, not start and see if you listening to the fuel tank if you can hear the pump going. If not, its either the pump or the relay.
Most of these trucks have another switch that kicks in after the enigine is started and runs the pump so you may be able to spray starting fluid in it while cranking it and get it to start. Then the other switch may kick in and run it. that will let you know if its the relay or what. Let me know what you find. I just replaced a relay on a 93 and it was only $8.....worth a try. Also, there will be a fuel pump fuse, probably close to the relay, could be that!

My 91 Acura legond moter cranks over but won't start

Engines need 3 things to run-spark, compression and fuel/air. Check the simplest things first. When you turn the key and the warning lights come on, does the check engine light come on? It should turn off in 6 seconds, if everything's ok. I Check the air filter, make sure it isn't plugged up. Take off the oil fill cap, and look in. I believe you can see the rocker/cam, use a flashlight. Have someone crank the engine with the key, see if the cam turns, rocker moves. If not, broken timing belt. Next remove an igniter, put a plug in it, have it plugged in and hold the plug near a ground. Have it cranked, check for spark. If no spark, it needs more professional diagnostics. If yes, Fuel is left. If you sit in the drivers seat, windows up and quiet, turn the key to run, all the warning lights come on. The fuel pump runs for 2 seconds, a low hum from the back. You can usually here it if it is quiet around you. (Just because it makes noise, doesn't mean it's good.) Your car also has a main relay that powers the fuel pump, a common failure. Last thing to try is starting fluid sprayed into the throttle, throttle open 1/2 way, while someone cranks.
One of these should lead you to the failure. Note: the main relay is powered by the ignition system, except for that initial 2 seconds. So if there is no spark, the fuel pump won't work either.

No fuel getting to motor so no start. replaced pump fuses and relays all good. there is spark

you will need to check the plug to the pump on top of the tank. check for voltage. then if no volts trace the wires back. also you should check the relay have some one at the relay listening to see if it clicks when you turn the key. no click no volts no volts may be a warn out relay, if it buzzes change it.

My car will not start it cranks but will not turn on. So far I have changed the crank sensor I also have no spark to coil packs or spark plugs Fuel pump does not turn on when I turn the key. What is the...

Begin by checking fuses. Ignition, efi, fuel pump fuses. When key turned to on, do the warning lights and gauges work? That verifies switch has power and is sending power out. With key on, the coil primary wire to coil packs should have voltage.

No spark and no gas? Fuel pump fuse good? I think I would use a test light or multimeter to check that fuel pump fuse terminal has power to it with key on. If that's good, pull connector off at fuel tank and check for a voltage signal on fuel pump wire when the engine is cranking-if good signal, fuel pump needs taken out for replacement or inspection. If no signal check that fuel pump relay has power to it. With key off, pull the relay and check that one terminal has power to it-the feed wire for the pump. If no power signal at all, check maxi fuses or fusible links for a failure.

Yes, there is fuel pump relay, which is generally located on the passenger side kick panel. But in your case, the fuel pump relay on 2002 model Xterra is indeed located under the dash around the steering wheel, but no you don't need to remove the cover just lay in floor and you can see it, it will slide off a bracket and you can remove and replace it.
Good Luck!

The fuel pump wires are positive: pink/black and negative=black. Pull the connector, turn the key on, and check these with a test light. Your pump power runs through the PCM.

1997 dodge ram won't start. My fuel pump does not run and coil won't spark. Iv'e checked fuses and relays and they look fine. Could a bad fuel pump cause the asd to kill power to the coil?

First check any ignition/fuel related fuses. Check to make sure you have 12 volts coming into the pump and coil. If nothing to the fuel pump replace the fuel pump relay - if you do have power to the fuel pump then replace the pump. If nothing is coming to the coil it is either an ignition relay or a wiring issue. If you have 12 volts to the coil but no spark then replace the coil.
Also the fuel pump/relay would not kill the coil.

Got s,reg nissan mirca turns over but wont start never had prob before any ideas what might be wrong batt fine ,spark good

fuel pump, fuel pump relay or fuse, or crank sensor.

the crank sensor is located near or behind the main bottom pulley on the front of the engine. it is a very likely problem and is usually an easy replacement, but the fuel pump and its fuse & relay could be the next most likely problem.
