GM was pretty consistent back then so try this. Push down and back on the lower seat cushion. Then lift up. It should come out of a J-shaped bracket. There will be at least one of these brackets on each side of the hump. With that out of the way you will see a series of probably 4 bolts that hold the bottom of the seat back. Undo them and give the back a jerk upwards. It should then pop out of it\'s top brackets.
It is also possible that you may have top locate bolts in the crack between the seat back and the cushion that need to be removed before the bottom seat cushion will come out. They occasionally used this method as well. You will be able to find those bolts by compressing the cushion.

CSP, It sounds like you have a vacuum leak that is causing the IAC ( idle air control ) motor to move in and out trying to control the idle. Check all vacuum hoses on the engine for disconnect, cracked or damaged. If the hoses crack when you bend them, they need to be replaced.

remove ac vents with flat head screwdriver . thair should be a 7mm bolt in each vent holding tha dash pad on remove them. remove the trim going to head liner from the dash pad. use a 7mm to remove the bolts holding the cluser in place should be one each side and 3 across the back . disconnect the wiring harness and your done. also disconnect the negative batery cable when doing this
