Chrysler 1996 town n country van lxi edition

I cannot find the up stream o2 censor i have looked on line for a diagram of the motor it is a 3.8l v6 every where been under the car over top the engine and do not see it i have however found the down stream censor where it should be

The o2 sensors are near the exhaust manifolds one on either side. You must have over looked them

all v engines have 2 or 4
i can be different for calif. cars.. are yah?

the version that has a crossover ,bank 1 to bank 2.
so shares a cat ,and has 1 sensors in front of cat on manifold
and 1 for the cat. rear.
the rear 02 is seen a wire to a grommet under drivers seat
to the cat rear. 02 sensor
the front sensor, is under wiper motor, the book says it must be removed, wiper motor. first

Picture of where the first o2 censor on the 1996

if your asking where is sensor 1 bank 1 its in the exhaust pipe coming off the firewall side(rear) of the engine, sensor 1 bank 2 is in the exhaust pipe coming off the rad side(front) of the engine. they are the first sensor that you come to.

yes, as long as the O2 sensor screw tightly and the clip (plug in match) dont recomend any cutting or rigging the wire it self. all O2 sensors has built with the same concept.

Did you try inserting the key in the drivers side door and locking and unlocking it manually several times to reset the alarm system. This was the problem with my 1996 Chrysler Town & Country LXI
