check fuses first. as always .

no spark from just the coil , right,???? that be first
using 2 men (or 1 man and teenage son, wife or friend)
one man cranks and other checks for spark at coil actual.
no spark at coil actual, (the coil HV terminal is checked using a test sparkplug just like a 1920 car to now)
its dead,or has spark for 3 seconds. or the ASD relay NEVER pulls
in, this is the 3 first checks after testing fuses.,

You may have a bad crank sensor or PCM, or ignition module. Or you may have a ign or PCM fuse that popped.

You can't answer that kind of question. Have to have the vehicle, know the systems and follow a diagnostic tree to find the problem.

google vin decoder and see for your self first
our GRAND has 4 engines, 1 is diesel so not that.
our GRAND is
3.6L 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6. uses COPs, no coil packs just 6 cops o
5.7L 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. uses COPS. the PCM and harness break outs set order.
5.7L USA has twin COPS, 2 per bank 4 total. and going plug in one way.

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand cherokee with the 5.2l v-8 engine. Last week I started it, and it ran for about 1 minute before shutting off. The engine cranks, but no ignition. I replaced the Crankshaft position...

Time to meter voltage. Start with the 12V circuit. Are you getting voltage at the coil. Does the voltage fluctuate when the engine cranks? If yes to both check the high voltage circuit. Start with the coil then the distributor then each plug. You should be able to find where the spark is failing.

We have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, ran good then quit, has 8 volts to the coil, the coil isn't firing.Has new parts inside the distributor, new coil,a computer off another Jeep Grand Cherokee, has the same...

If there is only 8 volts to the coil, that is your problem. There should be battery voltage (12.2) volts to the coil with the ignition switch turned on. Connect a voltmeter between the DARK GREEN/BLACK wire at the ignition coil and the POSITIVE battery post. Turn the key on. If the volt meter reads more than 0.3 volts then you have a voltage-drop (high resistance) problem on your coil B+ circuit. The coil is powered by the Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay - this is the MOST LIKELY source of high resistance in this circuit.

No spark coil is good. only 5volts coming to coil

Check the voltage regulator. If that is pushing 12.6V then its something else. I would recommend checking voltage one step at a time going from coil all the way back to the battery if you have to.

There is not electricity going through the sparkplugs cords

check to see if your coil is firing. if not, check for voltage coming to the coil. if nothing, it could be bad fuse link or supply from starter soleniod.

1999 jeep cherokee does not start, tried cp sensor still no spark , batt. voltage at coil on one pin during cranking, coil checks ok with ohm meter.pulled up fault codes and there were none.

should have voltage on both posts of the coil. when the computer momentarly grounds the coil (in response to the crank position sensor sending it a square wave single). it will force a good coil to produce a spark. i would look at the coil again
good luck chris
