Remove the two trim covers at each end of the bottom of the cluster. Remove the screws and the cluster pulls straight out. Very simple

Either you have a problem with the TCS (Traction Control System), or the TCS is switched off. Most cars with TCS have a button on the shift or the dash labeled "TCS" or "TCS OFF". Find the button, and press it with the car running in gear. If the light goes out, problem solved.
If you cannot manually disengage TCS (no button), or when you press the TCS button the light flashes, check all your brakes and make sure none are dragging or worn out. Also make sure all your tires are properly inflated and balanced, and none are worn out.
TCS works by controlling your brakes on slippery roads and will dynamically apply the brakes to each wheel in order to prevent a skid, even when your foot is not on the brake pedal. During normal driving, the TCS light is out and will either come on briefly or flash when it is active and preventing your car from going into a skid. When the light is on constantly, the system is disabled- either because it was shut off by the driver pressing the TCS (or TCS OFF) button, or because the system has detected a brake problem and automatically disabled it for safety reasons. Worn or dragging brakes, a tire that is flat or worn, or even a wheel that is badly out of balance will cause the system to disable itself, and a severe wheel alignment problem will also.

SOURCE: I am trying to figure out what the orange light

Sorry, I just notice the year & model. If all the lights are working, you could have a bad ground connection or the bulb integrity relay is defective. You will have to get the wiring checked with a test light or volt meter to see where the problem is.

It's easy. On each bottom side of the instrument cluster is a little blank panel. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to pry those panels off. Then remove the philips screws. Move the stalks to their downward position and pull the cluster out.

You can leave the connectors in place and quarter-turn twist the bulbs out and replace them, or if you have a lot of them burned out, remove the connectors and do all the bulbs once you're in there.

If you want to experiment, head to the nearest junkyard and you'll find it's far easier than you think. :D

I need to know where to jack up a 740GL Volvo and where to place the car stand to do an oil change.

Always jack a car by the frame. Also put the jack stands on the frame.

Driving along in my '88 Volvo 740 - all warning lights go on!

My first thoughts are with the battery cables, or the alternator. You probably had the heater, wiper and maybe the lights on? That's a big load on the electrical system. Have the battery and charging system checked out! It's common on this model for the alternator brushes to wear out and the good thing is that they can be replaced separately of the alternator.
