It is possible that the car's alarm/immobilizer system is preventing the vehicle from starting. Manufacturers, in an effort to prevent car theft, have the immobilizer activate if the battery circuit is interrupted for more than a certain number of minutes. This keeps car thieves from cutting battery cables to prevent alarm activation. If the battery goes flat-line dead, the same thing can occur. You need a special tool available at a dealer or repair facility to reset the immobilizer.

SOURCE: 94 nissan sentra brake light/ battery light

Your alternator is dead/dying. Nissan puts both of those lights on to tell you that the alternator isn't charging your battery.

SOURCE: 2004 Taurus won't start, only clicking noise when I turn the key.

It sounds like it could be the starter solenoid. I would remove the battery and have it tested, then when the battery is put back in make sure all battery connections are clean and tight. If you go to autozone.com, you can register your vehicle for free and have access to a full online repair manual. Good luck and hope this helps.

2001 ford taurus power draining new battery & new alternater won't work when cables are removed from battery

That suggests that the problem is in the harness, something in the connector or wiring is causing an open circuit. You will need to have the circuit tested to find the fault. Ford alternators have known connector issues & new aftermarket connectors are readily available at most auto parts stores.

My 99 Taurus acts like the battery is dead it will crank the engine over a couple times slowly then nothing I've had the battery tested and it was good same with the starter it won't jump start...

If the battery and starter have proven good, then you probably have a connection issue.Check condition of battery, wire to battery, and starter wires and connections also. I dont know your particular situation, but there is always the possibility of a motor trying to sieze.

Welcome to the world of BMW's. return the car to the seller. you got a bad one. You got an electrical short draining the battery. Bring a blank check and sign it over to the dealer. They're going to have to run through the entire electrical system to find the short. That work alone is worth more than the a used up 2001 325i.

Vehicle was parked and not started for 2 months.

Hi, there will be diodes in the generator that are letting the power from the battery drain away through the parked times when not in use. to prove it charge the battery- then disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, connect 24 hours later and see if the battery as kept it charge, if so - fit new alternator, good luck.
