Well no car make model or year so limited in advice here,, it's quite basic. Hardest part is finding where it lives. Usually mounted to heater box. Firs find it and check harness make sure connector is not melted or simply making poor contact to connectors from being overheated. You may get a pass and just need to clean up connector. If the "pig tail" is in good order great if not order from parts store a replacement as well as the resistor assembly. The new pig tail will come with all white wiring so you will need to be mindful of the pin configuration when mending the new pig tail to existing harness. The resistor is usually two 5 mm Or 1/4" screws. Be sure to have ignition off while doing repair. It is recommended to disconnect the negative battery terminal first to assure you do not damage anything or anyone too.

Very Possible it is your fuse, the only thing that makes me think otherwise is that your problem is intermittent. When a fuse blows, things stop working they do not work intermittently. If you recently installed a stereo, check the harness for crossed connections or exposed wiring that may be causing a short. When you blow the fuse for the stereo it usually takes out many of the interior electronic accessories such as Interior dash lights, electronics door locks, dome lamps, etc. Check the fuse box likely under the dash, if not in a corner of the engine compartment under the hood and find the diagram for the fuse lay out. Check the fuse for the stereo or interior accessories or for the door locks. problem could be with the wiring for either.

something between your lights and accessories (a wire) were crossed and it burnt out the wire. check your wires again, go to a website for your vehicle and see if you can find a wire diagram of your vehicle.

If all you need is the connector & any wiring damage your going to
take care of with new wire,soldering & heat shrink tubing,then work on
finding the connector with the pig tails or even just a connector

At the salvage yard you hit a home run & cut off the perfect piece you need

There is a wiring harness on hinge side of passenger door correct, take a look at the wiring colors. Hope you can read it. At the window switch, the outside wire on either side is voltage or ground depending on which direction, up or down, reversing motor. You don't need the window switch for testing, you should be able to operate from driver door master switch. If you get the wires reversed, the only thing that will happen is, up will be down and down will be up, if that happens, reverse the wires. Just my opinion.
At the window switch, top middle wire is lockout, so only the driver can operate the windows.

Personally owning this car and installing several Hyundai stereo's, I would purchase a wiring harness kit from car audio shop or electronics retailer. The wire harness has a plug that connects to the cars wiring harness. This wiring harness kit will also list the wires to connect your new aftermarket radio to the harness. I would also recommend using crimped **** connectors to attach the two harnesses together.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent
an accidental short circuit. Pop out the dimmer
switch panel and remove (1) Phillips screw
exposed. Unsnap the gear shifter trim plate and
remove (1) Phillips screw exposed at the base of
the dash trim bezel. Reach under the driver's
side dash, locate the temperature control cable
and remove the cable from the white plastic
bracket. Position the gear shifter in low, pull the
dash panel away and disconnect all wiring harnesses.
Remove the trim bezel (the temperature
controlcable will be attached). Remove (4)
Phillips screws securing the factory head unit
and disconnect the wiring.
