Fix 2006 yellow bugs headlights paid $160.00 for them to be fixed. But still not working. Macanic said must be electrical.

My head lights didn't work for a long time. Took to macanic, said he couldn't get to right bulb because bolts had been striped needed to take off fender to get to it when I said just fix left one, he did get in to right one and put new bulb in it. But lights still didn't work. Said it must be electrical problem. I didn't have the money so left. $160.00 and still no lights.

Hi, had similar problem with Golf TSI headlights. managed to remove left bulbholder and changed bulb, still not working, removed right bulb holder and put into left side, working(shows no electrical fault). The problem was the bulb holder that was not working. If u can try this maybe solve problem. All the best. Good luck.

I hope you already checked the fuses?and the headlight relay behind the fise box?if those are ok,there is not much left, the commodo on the steering wheel,
but on the 2006 you should do the error read out,it should give at least a indication, the problem with the headlight screws is classic one,it is due to earlier bad mechanic, maintainance,of course these days, grease and putting grease is too expensive and too dirty?i think even with low budget you should find a good mechanic, there still are good ones....

The previous owner had left a socket on the tap under the fender!! There are two taps on the housing that hold the tail light to the fender. Taking these two off allows the taillight to be removed.

SOURCE: Replacing headlight

Very easy .Lift your bonnet and get to the back of your light ,you will see some wires going into the back of it.And a spring clip holding it in place, remove the spring clip with your fingers, and simply pull the light out the back in one bit noting right way up ,Pull the bulb off the block connector and fit new one DO NOT touch the new bulb as this will ruin it use paper towel ,and reverse proses , If light looks wonky afterwards you have put it in upside down ,but most cars are designed to prevent this.

One headlight on Toyota Solara not working. If we exchange headlights it works on the other side. Checked fuses, relays. Don't know what else

Wiring issue. If you cannot determine where the wire break is, you can simply parallel the wiring from the working side, using 12awg wiring. Simple fix.

No tail lights, no dash lights, no dome light, on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

First, why not taking it back, you paid for nothing, this is not right, they should give your money back.
Check the fuse again, to see what is happening. Do you have lights at the front?

Electrical Problems...

I just bought one myself, on a 97. When cops rip out their equipment they mess up a lot of things so a person has to repair them. Mine was to where no body could get in the truck and couldn't figure out "how" to open it. Some dash lights didn't work, windows didn't work, engine hesitated, etc but only had 123,000 miles on it. All problems fixed now and car is great within two weeks. Yours sounds like you will have to trace "all" your electrical harnasses. That's what I had to do and repair all the damages or buy a whole new harnass for the car front to back.

Eratic electrical problems all guages go dead, tc light and airbag lights come on, backlight for guages goes dead but guages are still on, all lights including headlights go out. Dealership replaced...

I will suggest a site called "aboutautomobiles.com or use singular "aboutautomobile.com". Plug in your vehicle info and read about TSP and owner complaints. Site will list factory service campaigns.

I would contact Ford about help in partial reimbursement. Since it did not fix problem you would seem to have a legitimate complaint. I would say you should try to get parts for cost as Factory should back Dealership and Dealer charged you. Your car still is not fixed, ask for Factory assistance too, when contacting Ford.

Saturn 1999 One set of head lights won't go

if your lights are dim, your regular lights are not coming on.raely but possible that both lamps blew. the daytime running light module is probably the cause.it has a relay inside of the sealed box and they freeze up sometimes.if your dtr works, the high beams should as well. these are things to check....bulbs,the fuses, wiring and the daytime module.modules are about 100 bucks or so,and if you follow the headlight wiring sometimes you can find it.
