Gas or diesel ? Won't turn over ? No crank - turning the key to start an nothing happens ? Or turning the key to start an the starter engages an spins the engine ,but doesn't start an run ? Crank no start ?

Which engine, do you have fuel pressure, and do you have power to the coil ?

If truck wont start only after fuel ups, check your fuel cap. It may be bad. Sounds simple but it's the simpliest things most of the time.

sounds like a faulty pressure regulator be sure to test it before changing it

Do a fuel pressure check. Sounds like your fuel pump is weak or your putting the filter in the wrong way or incorrect filter.

Not much to go on---but I'll try here.

Ok first thing check to see if truck is in park---sometimes it may be in park but the park switch will not start truck unless the switch is depressed.

try putting truck in neutral with foot on pedal to start truck-----if starts the problem is with the switch.

If not, then you have a ignition switch problem---there is an ignition switch box under the dash on topside of steering column with has adjustment screws mounted to column.

loosen screws and slide ignition box toward the steering wheel to achieve the start position of the ignition switch box to start truck.

When you say doesn't start do you mean you have to jump start? If so it is something to do with charging system. If alt is charging fine, then you probably have a bad cell in your battery which would cause this type of problem. Sometimes it works sometimes it won't. Eventually it won't anymore without a jump.

If you're using your truck to jump start another dead battery in a different car..your truck should be runing when you do that.....

If you leave your truck turned off and are jump starting another car/truck that way..you are drawing your CCA (cold cranking amps) way down, and really shortening the life of your batery..you'll be needing to get jump started yourslf pretty soon.

sounds like the same problem i was just having try changing out your fuel regulator its pretty pricey try to find the cheapest around $75.
