Old post but see it asked many times.
assemble the rail first, its 1 piece so must be ready first.
3.7L Engine (FSM) RTM?
(1) If fuel injectors are to be installed, refer to Fuel
Injector Removal/Installation.
(2) Clean out fuel injector machined bores in
intake manifold.
(3) Apply a small amount of engine oil to each fuel
injector o-ring. This will help in fuel rail installation.
(4) Position fuel rail/fuel injector assembly to
machined injector openings in cylinder head.
(5) Guide each injector into cylinder head. Be careful
not to tear injector o-rings.
(6) Push right side of fuel rail down until fuel
injectors have bottomed on cylinder head shoulder.
Push left fuel rail down until injectors have bottomed
on cylinder head shoulder.
(7) Install 4 fuel rail mounting bolts and tighten.
Refer to torque specifications.
(8) Install 6 ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil
Removal/Installation.
(9) Connect electrical connectors to throttle body.
(10) Connect electrical connectors at all fuel injectors.
To install connector, refer to (Fig. 37). Push connector
onto injector (1) and then push and lock red
colored slider (2). Verify connector is locked to injector
by lightly tugging on connector.
(11) Connect necessary vacuum lines to throttle
body.
(12) Connect fuel line latch clip and fuel line to
fuel rail. Refer to Quick-Connect Fittings.
(13) Install air box to throttle body.
(14) Install air duct to air box.
(15) Connect battery cable to battery.
(16) Start engine and check for leaks.

2001 cherokee # 5 misfire..switched spart plug with another cylander still # 5 changed coil and injector didnt fix problem..HELP

Did you put a "noid" light on the injector connector to ensure it's getting the pulse to open? Do you know that you are getting spark at the plug? The HV could be leaking out of the cable or connector(s). Finally, if all that's good you may need to do a compression test.

I have a 1998 gmc jimmy 4.3 6cylinder 4x4 I blew

What I've seen done to test an injector is to pull it, and swap it for another cylinder. If the miss moves, then the injector is bad. If the miss stays on #5, then the problem isn't the injector.

Remove sv21 injectors

Hi there:
This Australia made TOYOTA CAMRY SV21 was produced in 1989, similar at 3S-FE Engine...

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the harness from the cold start injector.
  3. Place a towel or rag under the cold start injector pipe and remove the two union bolts, four gaskets and delivery pipe.

Loosen the union pipe bolts slowly.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
  2. Disconnect the fuel return pipe hose.
  3. Remove the pulsation damper with the two gaskets. Discard the gaskets and purchase new ones.
  4. Unbolt and remove the delivery pipe with the injectors attached.

When removing the delivery pipe, take care not to drop it as damage to the injectors may result.

  1. Remove the four insulators and two spacers from the cylinder head.
  2. Gently pull the injectors from the delivery pipe.
  3. Remove the O-rings and grommets from the injectors and purchase new ones.

To install:
  1. Install a new grommet and new O-ring onto each injector. Make sure that they are installed evenly, to ensure a good seat and save yourself from having to take the injectors out and readjust or replace the O-rings.
  1. Lightly coat the O-rings with clean fuel.
  2. Install the injectors into the delivery pipe. Do not **** the injector, install it straight into the opening using a light left to right twisting motion.
  3. Place the four insulators and two spacers on the cylinder head.
  4. Install the injectors together with the delivery pipe onto the cylinder head.
  5. Go to each injector and rotate it by hand. The injector should rotate smoothly.

If the injectors don't rotate smoothly, the O-rings are probably not installed correctly or the injectors are not installed evenly. If this is the case, you will have the pull the delivery pipe off the intake manifold and look at the O-rings to make sure that they are installed correctly. Adjust the O-rings and, if damaged, replace them.

  1. After the delivery pipe and injectors are properly in place, go to each injector and position the connector so that it is facing upward.
  2. Install the two delivery pipe retaining bolts and tighten them to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).
  3. Install the pulsation damper with two new gaskets on both sides of the fuel hose "banjo'' fitting. Tighten the damper.
  4. Connect the fuel return hose.
  5. Attach the injector connectors.
  6. Connect the vacuum sensing hose.
  7. Using new gaskets, connect the cold start injector pipe to the delivery pipe and cold start injector. Tighten the two union bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (17 Nm).
  8. Attach the cold start injector wiring connector.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Short the +B and Fp terminals of the engine check connector with a jumper wire.
  11. While the connector is shorted, pinch the fuel return hose. When the pinched, this causes the pressure in the high pressure fuel line to rise to 57 psi. ( kPa) At this time any leaks in any part of the system should be apparent. Carefully look at each component for leakage and run the tip of your finger around each connection.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

The rubber o-rings fell out of the fuel line, and I need to know what order they are supposed to be in so I can put them back correctly.

emove the six reverse torx bolts from the fuel rail using an E7 star socket. You may notice that the paper fuel rail gasket is starting to or maybe already has broken between the intake ports. This will cause a lean code condition. (P0171 and P0174)
2. Gently pry the fuel rail off of the lower intake and the six injectors. Note the orientation of the injectors beforehand.
3. Remove all six injectors and discard all 12 o-rings.
4. Thoroughly clean all gasket surfaces and o-ring surfaces.
5. Clean the o-ring areas on all the injectors.
6. Put new o-rings on the injectors. A light film of motor oil on the o-rings will help in seating the injectors.
7. Put the injectors into the lower intake.
8. Put new paper gasket between the fuel rail and lower intake and make sure all of the injectors are seated into the fuel rail.
9. Put the six reverse torx bolts back in and torque them down in this sequence:
<Firewall 1 3 5
............ 6 4 2
To 12-16 N*m (9-11 lb*ft)

reassembly is the reverse of the dissassembly. after you get this done, get you a cold one. heck get two. you deserve it.

(you can let the children and small animals back in the area now)
