I'm assuming the engine cranks over with the starter, seems to start for a second or two then dies.

Does the message centre have a flashing "SECURITY" message?

If so, you have a Passlock II problem.

To get it running you'll have to do the 10 minute relearn procedure, or if that fails the 30 minute relearn procedure. I could post both procedures if you like.

To fix it so it will never fail again you will have to:
1) bypass the sensor in the steering column, or ,
2) hardwire (solder) the 3 wires to the sensor, or ,
3) replace the sensor.
This last option rarely works due to the problem being in the connector contacts, therefore my preferred method is either option 1 or 2. (I really wish GM would fix the contact issue by using gold flashed contacts and not crummy tin plated ones which tarnish over time)

I'm have a BMW 325i m54 engine. Im having No start fuel problem an my rpm stay high when I take my foot off the gas?

no year car told. wow. "I'm having No start fuel problem" why does the first line contradict others?
NO CRANK
cranks good but will not start
cranks good but starts and stalls.
cranks and runs but RPM races to high(too high RPM not told)
normal cold is about 1500 RPM but at -39F RPM will go higher that is how EFI works here. even 2500 is possible say in Alaska.USA.
-80f there. possible (record temp low)
fuel hates to vaporize cold and the colder it is the worse that is
and the PCM knows all that for over 43 years of EFI tech.
is this your first car
or first car cold outside
or first ever Klondyke cold snap?

Where is the fuel pump located?

What is your year--make--model--engine size? On a cold engine, you can try cycling the key on and off several times before you crank it, see if it helps? By doing that, your priming the fuel system.

Usually electric fuel pumps are in the gas tank, but, without year--make--model, I can't look up any info.

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 cold cranks but will not stay running

Have him remove & clean th IAC/AIS motor on the throttle body, and the port it came out of , as well as clean inside of throttle body if he hasn't done so already. Check and clean connections before re-assembling. Shouldn't take any longer than 1/2 hr or so.
