We have a 2008 Toyota Avalon that we had the head liner replaced and the radio does not work correctly now. I know it has to be the antenna. Any ideas?

Any suggestions?

Check the antennae cable into the back of the radio to be certain it is firmly plugged in

Reverse the wires, one is hot going up and the other hot going down, the easiest way to deal with this is to just reverse them.

SOURCE: 1999 toyota avalon horn works intermitely

I would suggest to you to have the spiral cable (or 'clockspring') replaced. This is the electrical unit that transfers power to the air bag, the horn and the cruise control.

It is located right under the seering wheel.

Your description of the issue indicates to me that your spiral cable is loose, and making intermittant contact. If the vehicle had an air-bag deployment, this cable-device should have been changed.

Does my 2011 Avalon need a disc for the radio to work

It shouldn't. You just need an antenna to get the radio signals to your car. If it still isn't working when you read this I suggest going to a place like best buy.

Toyota Avalon 2004 radio do not work. It turns on but no sound. Some people say may be amp problem because speakers works.

The amp should have it's own inline fuse but if there is no sound it could also mean the radio has died or antenna is disconnected. Any stereo installation shop can find the problem without too much cost.
