SOURCE: Change ingnition switch on 1978 pontiac firebird trans am

Use a steering wheel puller to remove the snap ring that holds the big spring. Remove the screws that hold the signal light mechanism, and the signal light handle has to be removed. Lift the signal thing up to expose a "torx" headed screw. Remove that screw and the tumbler should pull out fairly easily. That torx screw should have an unthreaded part at the bottom of it. Make sure that comes with it. Sometimes they break off.

1997 pontiac firebird. put in a new battery and the alarm keeps going off and the car wont start.

Check to see where the kill switch is and press the switch. This may be located by the steering column. Then try to start the car.

How do i wire engine fans to a toggle switch in the cabin of a 1997 pontiac firebird trans am ws6?

The simplest way would be to run a wire from the positive battery post to your toggle switch. Make sure you put a fuse in it. Then run from the toggle switch back out to the fan. Unplug the factory wiring and plug you wire onto the power feed terminal at the fans. To find that, just use a jumper wire from the battery to each prong on the fan until it turns on. Plug your toggle switch to that prong. Hope this helps.

Starter on my 2000 pontiac firebird went out , we rebuilt the starter checked the starter fuses, and also the starter wires what else can the reason be for my car not starting

The neutral safety switch, and the ignition switch can cause this problem, get a test light and start testing these areas, but start at the ignition wire on the starter to see if the stater is receiving 12 volts on it.Then the neutral safety switch, and then the ignition switch.

Firebird Won't start

Very possible its the neutral safety switch. Try putting the car in neutral and turning the key. If it starts then I'd investigate the linkage and/or neutral safety switch. Best of luck.
