Valve adjusstment - 1997 Mazda MPV

It is the intake manifold tuning valve that is stuck and fortunately not the Inlet valve itself.

P1136 NISSAN - Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Bank 2
Possible causes- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 2 circuit is open or shorted.

make the engine runs for about 30minutes before adjusting the valves,
valve clearances:
intake valve = 0.20mm(0.008 in)
exhaust valve = 0.25mm(0.010 in)
for reference only when the engine is cold,
valve clearances:
intake valve = 0.25mm(0.010 in)
exhaust valve = 0.30mm(0.012 in)
engine specs: mitsubishi 4g13 1.3L (if you have same engine)

ive installed a few of these and i dont remmber an adjustment. most of the time the cable ends come apart and cable needs replacing. or the gas door latch is bad or broken or loose. i just research this and no adjusting, heres a picture of it.goodday

try to find the belt tensioner then loosen it put new belt on, adjusst so there is a little bit of free play then start it up. If it makes loud screeching loises tighten the belt tensioner

P1111- Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Bank 1

Intake valve timing control solenoid valve is activated by ON/OFF pulse duty (ratio) signals from the ECM. The intake valve timing control solenoid valve changes the oil amount and direction of flow through intake valve timing control unit or stops oil flow. The longer pulse width advances valve angle. The shorter pulse width retards valve angle. When ON and OFF pulse widths become equal, the solenoid valve stops oil pressure flow to fix the intake valve angle at the control position. The code is triggered when an improper voltage is sent to the ECM through intake valve timing control solenoid valve. Since the Intake valve timing control solenoid valve uses oil flow to control timing, dirty oil can cause the valve to stuck open or close. Before replacing the valve, change engine oil and filter and reset engine code.

Possible Causes:
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 1 circuit is open or shorted.
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 1 circuit connectors
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 1
- Dirty Oil

Possible Solutions:
- Change Oil
- Replace Intake valve timing control solenoid valve

Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve — 3.0L (2V) Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve tube quick-connect from the PCV valve.

CAUTION: A new PCV valve must be installed if removed from the cam cover. Damage will occur to the locking mechanism on the PCV valve.
Remove the PCV valve.

• Disconnect the PCV valve electrical connector.

• Rotate to release and remove the PCV valve.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve — 3.0L (4V) Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve tube from the PCV valve

there is a pully to the bottom left of alt losen nut in center of pully then there is a bolt turn it an the pully will move get belt on an adj don"t forget to tighten nut on pully

You can't put a timing light. because they are a COIL ON PLUG.
The secuense of the spark from the coil.
Is completly diferent that distributor engines.
The timing on your vehicle is not ADJUSSTABLE.

NOTE: IF you want check the timing on your car,
The only way is with a Computer Diagnostic . Capable to get PID data. To see cam and crank syncr.
