Print the parts of a wiring diagram you need,
at a repair shop, off their data base

Too old for the trouble trees, unless you find
OE Factory Manuals on E-Bay or somewhere

there is an adjustment bolt on the back side of the idler pulley . you just loosen up the nut on the front of the pulley , then turn the 12 mm bolt under the pump on the back side of the pulley.

SOURCE: 1986 honda prelude heater

Radiator flushes can cause more problems than fix sometimes. Before you go removing the dash first replace the thermostat if you follow the lower radiator hose to the engine this is the thermostat housing.Remove the three 10mm bolts and the housing should come apart. Make sure you put the thermostat in the right way and not upside down. The larger end with the spring goes in first toward the engine and the little vent should be on top. When you fill it back up with a 60/40 mixture of coolant make sure you open the bleed hole on the thermostat housing to get out any air and tighten when coolant comes out with no air bubbles. Start the car and hopefully the heat is better. If not the heater core is the two coolant hoses on the firewall remove both hoses and check the flow with a water hose put the hose to both sides to get out any debris. If the flow is slow and does not improve you will have to pull out the heater core which means removing most of the lower dash pulling out the evaporator if you have A/C. Make sure you get a manual. Hope this helps.

Replace your temperature sensor. There is a sensor specifically for the cooling fans that triggers the relays, and tells the fans to turn on/off. The relays won't energize unless it gets a signal from that sensor.

SOURCE: jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

I have a 2003 Chevy avalanche and the engine fans are not turning on

if the scan tool ECT sensors show 180f to 200f it is not overheating
what are you talking about.
blower dash fan.
engine RAD fans < guess only this.
or front AC condenser fans.
overheats parked
overheats driving yes or now fast?
oveheats only AC on, none of this told an matters HUGE.
learn to use a scan tool?
you can not fix any modern car lacking one. $100 buy one.
here are the proofs of over heating. al or most.!!!
dash gauge pegs, see that can be coolant low, easy no>?
scan ECT shows temps way over 200F, 265 is boiling point.
coolant on the ground AF 50% green, yellow orange pink what eva.
coolant on the passengers toes(foot well heater core leaks)
coolant in oil pan , and dip stick end drips, chocolate milk.
engine pings, or under load (hills) dont let it. pings is too hot. or dead EGR.
huge engine power loss from ping. (and lots more)
engine guts make huge nasty metallic sounds. bad that. check oil levels.
dash gauge engine heat PEGs , can mean overheating.
dash gauge tad high is normal. z(operators guide said so)

the service manual tells you clear as day what temps trip the fans on if you just RTM/ 214 to 220f , if ECT show that the fans run in that range and lacking a scan tool you will NEVER KNOW IT.
'the dash gauges is NOT and instrument it is a just a crude, toy gauge, the ECT is what matters period. or IR thermal gun pointed to thermostat housing then to top and bottom RAD tanks,

this magic tool and skills I can find dead RAD tubes in 1min flat

a parting shot
no 19 year old thermostat run that long.
the top usa maker claims a 7 year design life
I bet yours is bad. as the wax pellet ages in it ,it shrinks and the TEMPS go way way too high, or are sluggish.
seen it vast times and is frankly normal service.

Is it ossicle to bypass fan relay on Honda CR-V 2007

it is possible by joining the power in wire with the power out wire at the fan relay
HOWEVER this will mean that the fan will run continuously and flatten the battery
IT is far better to have the problem fixed and have the fans fun when necessary

Why won't my cooling fan turn on (swapped thermostat, thermoswitch, fan really)(fans work when hard wired to battery). Causes car to overheat in idle.

depending on the year, there should be 3 relays that control the fans.
There's a rad fan relay (4 pins), an a/c condensor fan relay (4 pins), and a fan control relay (5 pins). This allows them to be run at low speed or high speed. Check the grounds behind/under the righthand headlamp.
Check Fuses 57, 58 (30 Amps) and fuse 46 (15A) under the hood, and fuse 3 (7.5 Amps) in the driver's underdash fusebox.

odds are your fan relay is out. I take your model has two fans with seperate eletric motors.

198 mercury sable cooling fans motor

Cooling fans ( on radiator ) only come on when the engine reaches a certain (hot) temprature. There is a temp sensor threaded into the radiator end reservoir that switches a relay off and on that runs the fans. Either the temp sensor or the relay is probably bad. Normally , those fans will not be on if the car is moving , the air flow from just driving is sufficient to cool the rad. If you stopped and idled for a while , eventually the rad would heat up enough for the fans to come on.

Replaced in/tank fuel pump.

I have had problems with my 89 prelude. I found that the problem wasn't with the fuel pump, rather the master relay. You will have voltage at the fuel pump with the fuel pump dicconnected, but when you connect the pump and put a electrical load on the circuit, the voltage drops. check current with the pump running and see if this is the case.

1992 5.0 camaro no cooling fan except with ac

Yes there is a relay, but first answer this question, do you know the fans don't come on until the engine temp is above 230+ degrees F.? That is almost in the hot zone. run a scanner on the engine and watch the ECT sensor temp reading to verify proper cooling fan operation, a quick test to see if the system works is to unplug the ECT sensor, the fans will go into failure mode and turn on to avoid damage to the engine.
