SOUNDS LIKE THE FIRST STAGES OF AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP FAILING. THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR THESE TYPES OF SYMPTOMS. THE LOW PRESSURE AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT RESULTS IN THE STALL, BUT AS LONG AS ITS UNDER DEMAND IT WILL FUNCTION OK UNTIL IT QQUITS. HAVE A PRESSURE CHECK DONE ON THE FUEL PUMP
Your diesel fuel strainer or filter may be blocked. similar thing happened with a friend's Prado recently. Have the strainer cleaned and replace your fuel filter.
Hope this helps.
I've been resetting pajero's compasses but try to get to an area where you can do 360 degrees turns (empty car parks, ) press the reset button and make 2 complete 360 turns slowly and normally this should set the compass bearing.
Let us know how you get on. Cheers.
The cruiser as long as its the turbo diesel, direct injection (4.2td), be aware though that this model has inherent "sag" with the IFS suspension, so if buying secondhand then upgrade the torsion bars(and factor this into your buying price).
