SOURCE: radiator keeps over pressuring out of cap

I hate to tell you but most likely your head gasket is blown. But first have your 13 psi cap pressure tested. If the head gasket has blown out in between the cylinder and the water passage , engine compression will enter your coolant and over pressurize the cooling system. This could be caused by a pin hole in the head gasket and that is all. also make sure your head is not warped. The 22re has a cast iron block and aluminum head causing the head to expand at a different rate than the block. causing the gasket to wear and leak. Good luck.

SOURCE: 1990 toyota pickup 22re engine runs hotter with ac on

I would bet that your fan is not coming on. When an airconditioner is on it uses alot of power and that makes heat. The engine will warm past the safe point. Most vehicles should have a switch that turns the fan on and off to cool the motor. You can start the vehicle and pop the hood. once it gets warm if you don't see the fan come on that's most likely your problem. Be very careful around the blade because they come on and off suddenly. I go to Auto Zone for free diagnostics. They only sell parts but can walk you thru possibly fixing it yourself.

SOURCE: 1992 22re standard transmission toyota pickup

It sounds like the cluster is gone bad if everything is not working. Usually, if just the speedometer isn't working then it's the speed sensor on the transmission that has gone bad. But I think you have a cluster that has just died. Check on EBAY for a used cluster and ask them to roll the mileage to what is on your vehicle now.

Drain the radiator and remove the lower hose to take the alt out from underneath. Back in the same way.

1992 toyota 22re overheats after driving fine at highway speeds, starts to overheat when coming to a stop

It could be that your radiator is clogged up. The temperature in my truck went considerable down and has stay that way after I changed the radiator. See if cleaning it with pressure water helps.

Check your choke unloader. This is a vacuum operated device that opens the choke slightly, after the engine has started. When this device fail, you go way too ruch.

1992 toyota 22re fluids out and puts out a lot of fume out the exhast

Floods out.Multiple causes. How does it run when warmed up?Still stink?
Check injectors: Run the engine up to 3,000 RPM and turn off the key, while flooring the gas pedal. If engine still runs, the injector(s) are stuck open.
Also check for a vacuum leak-that will cause the engine to run very rich.
Also may be an open circuit in the temp sensor(computer side). The engine may think it's very cold and richen up the mixture.
