SOURCE: cabin air filter replacement

The cabin air filter is located under the cowl. Open the hood, proceed to the passenger side of the car and you will see where the right side wiper is resting, under the black plastic cowl there the cabin filter is.

SOURCE: replace rear brake light bulb 1998 lincoln continental

pop the trunk and right behind where the lights are pull the carpet down and their will be of the following depending on the trim.

You will either see the light sockets themselves that you can twist and pull to change the bulb, or you will see the plastic nuts/screws that you can remove to remove the entire assembly in order to access the bulbs.

If it's your 3rd brake light, the screws to access the housing are located in the upper part of the trunk

Water pump 98 lincoln contenianal

If your engine looks the same as the video, the pump can removed without having to move other components out of the way.

Drain radiator

Loosen the pump pulley bolts with the serpentine belt still on. This will put tension on the pulley so it doesn\'t turn. Then take serpentine belt off. Then remove the four bolts on the water pump. Have a drip pan under the pump. Clean pump mating surface on the engine. Install new pump with O ring. The link below gives detailed info.

My 1998 lincoln continental is smoking burning through oil but none of the warning indicatior lights have gone off what could be the issue?

This issue could be that the oil rings could be gone in either 1 or all of the cylinders... This is caused by either poor servicing, high mileage, poor quality oils, the engine being worked hard or flogged or a poorly designed engine. Whats happening is oil is getting into the cylinders where the spark, air and fuel mix. The oil will be getting ignited with the fuel causing the smoke and the oil to be burnt and used. There is no easy fix for this, The oil rings will need to be replaced. I would not recommend fixing this your self. You can try adding thicker oil but this is not going to do the motor any good in the long run...

Where is the oil pan located on me 1997 lincoln continental?

The simple answer is, bolted to the bottom of the engine. Ford and Lincoln vehicle generally have the cross member right under the engine, so the oil pan is obscured by it. Many oil pans on rear wheel drive Ford products have 2 oil sumps or wells, 1 near the front just behind the belt pulleys, and the other just behind the cross member, this one also has the oil drain plug for oil changes. Not sure why you are looking for the oil pan, so I hope this helps.
