Toyota highlander 2008 has no reset button how to reset the tire light?

  • Michael Crawford Apr 26, 2018

On the 2008 Toyota Highlander the tire reset button is on the right hand side of the steering wheel down underneath the the lowest part of your dashboard behind the plastic. My 2008 Highlander has a rest button for the Trac/VSC right above the tire rest, which is a smaller round button than the VSC rest button

SOURCE: Maintenence required light and tire pressure

The maintenance light needs to be reset manually. See my Tips and Tricks on this website for additional information on how to reset it.

You should also check your spare tire for proper inflation. It will set the tire pressure light, as the spare is monitored also. If all 5 tires are OK, you may have a malfunctioning tire pressure sensor. If the tires have been changed recently, people with older tire machines have been known to break the sensors regularly, by mistake.

SOURCE: Where is the tire sensor reset button on a 2008 Toyota Avalon

Firestone Hmmmmmm. Well the reset button is located just under the dash to the left of the steering column, hold for a few seconds and the light should go out. Hopefuly the firestone tech won't tell you your brakes need greasing the next time you go in for service, haha. Oh, I do beleive your tire pressure should be 29 psi. But, you can check your owners manual for correct pressures. It sould also tell you where the reset button is also. That should FixYa good luck.

SOURCE: 2003 Toyota Highlander clock resets when I turn off the ignition

Have you checked any fuses? Does the climate control light up? If not then in the under hood fuse box (left of drivers side) check the ECU-B fuse should be 7.5 amp. Check the heater fuse in the fuse box inside the car it should be 15 amp. If the fuses are OK and only the clock is bad check out my site www.autoclockrepair.com I offer a repair service.

Tire pressure monitoring light on my 2008 Toyota highlander is displayed on dashboard

First make sure all tires including the spare have 35 psi, if that is the only problem the light will go off, there may be a reset switch on the lower part of the dash, it says "set" on it, push the button and hold it in, turn the key on and wait for the light to flash three times, release the button, if the light comes back on there is a problem with the system, possibly one of the sensors is not sending a signal, this will require going to a toyota dealer to correct.

My 2008 highlander 4wd tire pressure warning light just went on. Checked tire pressure on all 4 mounted tires found to have 25-26 psi. Inflated it to 30 psi (recommended) and look for the reset button...

turn the key to the on position (not running)
let at least 6 lbs of air out of each tire
put at least 32 lbs of air back in each tire
turn ignition to off
start vehicle and the light and sensors should be reset

Tire pressure light is on even though all tires are inflated prop

You can reset the TPMS system on your Toyota Highlander. There are instructions in the owner's manual on how to do so. However, resetting the system without checking the cold-air inflation of the tires is not necessarily solving the problem. The recommended tire pressure inflation sticker is located on the driver-side door frame. On the Highlander, it calls for 30 pounds per square inch (psi) of tire pressure per tire, including the full-sized spare. If the Highlander had a donut spare tire, it will not have a TPMS sensor and subsequently will not effect the TPMS system one way or the other. To reset the TPMS system in the Highlander, there is a reset button under the driver-side dashboard that needs to be held for a period of time (a few seconds) while the ignition key is in the "key-on/engine-off" mode. The TPMS warning light will blink rapidly for a few more seconds, and the system will reset itself. Refer to the manual for the exact procedure. If the TPMS warning light reoccurs, have the system or tires checked by a professional. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted. Be glad to help.

Low tire pressure light

Do you have sensors in the wheels? I dont think so, but If you do... I recommend setting the tire pressure at 35, if you set any lower, the light will come on when it gets cold and the pressure drops. Did you also set the spare?
You can reset the light by finding the button underneath the drivers dash, and with the key on, hold the button in until the light goes out. Then let go, and press again, hold until the light flashes 3 times, then it should stay out.
