2014 dodge ram 1500 eps failure how do I fix or better yet how do I get my power steering to work its a electric and I don't under stand is there fluid if so where does it go

I have no wiring diagram on 2014 eps, so I looked at 2013, hope they are the same?

Click on the link.
Check those two fuses, not only check the fuse, use a test light and check voltage on fuse circuits. The component at lower left is eps module. As you can see black wire is ground, check that also.
Check for applicable trouble codes? My info for 2013 no electrical component, eps, can be serviced separately. I definitely do some testing. If you have to replace eps motor and module, I don't the cost of the fix? I don't know if 013 and 14 are the same? Just trying to help.

How to fix electric power steering in 2005 cevrolet colbalt

What's wrong ? light on ? Have it checked for codes ? GM had recall for the cobalt . Do you know it has electronic power steering ?
The electric power steering (EPS) system reduces the amount of effort needed to steer the vehicle. The system uses the body control module (BCM), power steering control module (PSCM), torque sensor, discrete battery voltage supply circuit, EPS motor, serial data bus, and the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center to perform the system functions. The PSCM, torque sensor, not the EPS motor are serviced separately from each other or from the steering column. Any EPS components diagnosed to be malfunctioning requires replacement of the steering column assembly, also known as the EPS assembly.

Hi my eps light is comming on and i lose power streering how do i fix it

It cannot be fixed until the problem with the Electronic Power Steering(EPS) is properly diagnosed.
The power assist system is comprised of...
  • EPS computer unit
  • Warning light on the dashboard
  • A connection to the OBD2 Diagnostic port in the car
  • A Vehicle speed sensor
  • A sensor which detects steering rotation on the input shaft of the steering rack
  • An electric motor, which provides the power steering assistance to the steering rack. Unless that motor runs you will have no power assistance to your steering.
  1. You will need to have the system scanned with the appropriate scan tool through the OBD port in the car. This will generate various fault codes which assist in diagnosing where the problem lies in the power steering system. It may be just a failed sensor that needs replacing or it might be a bigger problem.
  2. Once the fault codes have been pulled the mechanics can diagnose the cause and make whatever repairs or parts changes may be required.
  3. This is not a do it yourself exercise. You will need a mechanic who knows these Japanese electronic power steering systems and who understands the fault codes (and there are many of them on this EPS system) to diagnose the problem for you and fix whatever fault(s) has arisen.

Eps light comes on after driving for about 20 secs installed new ecu still have same problem steerig gets hard

who diagnosed the ECU , its more than likely to be the Electric Motor for the power steering as it goes hard , did you get the OBD codes read ? sometimes just clearing the code will cure the issue ,

Eps lightg stays on and steering doesn't work. Local agents are useless. I will not buy another daihatsu because of lousy service.

Electric motor power steering the worst idea ever , the motor is below dash right next to steering column , not to hard a job to change but can be quite expensive part , you could try getting the OBD codes cleared , might be lucky but i'm not holding my breath , sorry bad news alround as far as electic motor steering is my opinion

When switching on ignition, EPS light on the dashboard doesn't go off when engine starts. When key is turned there is a relay rattle under the dash or bonnet and the light stays on. Power steering won't...

electric motor power steering , rubbish , you may be lucky and get the OBD codes read and cleared and may reset the motor or could be a faulty relay but be prepared for a hefty bill for a new motor

Why does my eps light stays on 2006 jetta

this is the Electric Power Steering light , would be indicating a problem , does the steering feel heavy ?if not have the OBD codes read and any stored code cleared ,this may resolve the light staying on , if the steering feels ok it might have set the light off after going over a large bump for example, if the light comes back on then take to a repair shop as you dont want the steering to fail when driving
