Light comes on switch on bars reverse just don't work Harley said a bad reverse control module they installed still no reverse they said they needed to order a new motor now so Im a tech in auto shop so I checked powere to breaker its good if I cross soilenoid it works two wires going to soilenoid aren't working but handlebar switches check out good any ideals
One wire on solinoid should light up test light when switch is pressed witch then should power control mod and then shifter motor when switch is reversed it should send power to control mod and shift out of rev i dont have schematic in front of me but should work in same sort of manner try google search 2013 harley trike reverse schematic there is a reset video on you tube as well as a hdforum blog on the reserse system good luck this is vid link http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=6&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDAQtwIwBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D8LAzdoMe96I&ei=wcUkVNysO4mPyAStzYHIBg&usg=AFQjCNHvOFAidKwM-dPI1ObfCc1yh0m3iw&bvm=bv.76247554,d.b2U

I can provide wiring diagrams and locations however I need to know what size motor you have. The 2.0L or 2.5L.
Thanks in advance

check for inline fuses. wire that will melt if theres to many amps running through it usually under the hood. hope this helps
SOURCE: 02 SS Monte Carlo , dash lights have quit working,
this only occured when the ambient light sensor turned on the headlights when it got to dark. if that is happening then check the headlight switch, the one that also dims the interior lights. mine had a burnt connector and fried the circuit board. replaced it and it works good. check for lose wires and connectors in there as well which likely caused the short.

There should be a Neutral safety switch, which also acts as a back-up light switch. It should be located close to where linkages attach to transmission, and is threaded into side of transmission. Not very expensive and about 10-15 min to change .
