I have a check engine light ON on my 1992 Subaru Loyale.

I am trying to retrieve the code for my 1992 Subaru Loyale but cannot find my "read" connectors. I have found the green test connectors and the 13p and 9 pin diagnostic connectors but cannot locate the 1 pin black(?) read connectors. Thanks..

The black is a ground connection electrical. Usually they get pulled out by someone messing with dash like radio or something.

Subaru loyale 1.8 check engine light will not go off

Hi could be a whole list of things. If the car has been rebuilt and runs good its most likely just a minor prob best bet it to get it tested and an auto electrician, it will only take a short time and the scan tool will get the exact code to identify the prob.

I have a 1992 subaru loyale that will not fire. it turns over, but won't start. Same thing with a 1989 subaru gl??????

Have you replaced the timing belts recently? The timing belts in these cars run both the cams and the distributor. If one comes off or breaks the engine wont do anything. The fix is not too bad if it is just the belt(s)

I am not 100% sure but you may have a bad cam or crank sensor.
Now whether this car has those parts or not, you can find out from your local parts distributor or you can go online. Do you have a check engine light on?Good Luck Friend.

Check engine light is on. Runs rough. Read codes???

It may be a plugged Cat Converter. They usually plug up at about that many miles. The check engine light will come on when that happens.
Try going to a auto parts store. They usually have a code checker to discover the problem in order to sell the parts to fix it. Try that first.

Yeks, quick (when engine cool) make sure your radiator is FULL and engine is AIR BLED at the thermastadt. If your master brake cylinder is assisted power your DIAPHARM could be ruptured. Causes low vac in system so heater controls only work at idle the changes to cold when driving

How to retrieve trouble codes on 91 loyale wagon

mil is the malfunstion indicator lamp (check engine light) there is a connector either under the dash or under the hood near firewall that is normally not plugged in to anything. Use a paperclip to jumper this and the engine light will flash codes. i think the connector is green but check a repair manual to be sure. there are other connectors that you don't want to mess with by accident
