Removing an engine is a major undertaking requiring tools , equipment and a good understanding of the process, if you want to do it yourself the best advice i can give is get a workshop manual that will give you step by step instructions , you will then know if you want to tackle the job

Hello Ron, WOW that's a tall order my best advice is that you invest in a repair manual, auto zone, advanced auto, pep boys, for about 20.00 it will be the best 20.00 you ever spent, i'll be glad to help where ever I can , the other is what happened to other motor ,you said locked up did you try turning engine over by using a bar on motor ,or it wont turn over using starter?

Am working in a mazda mpv 2001, i think the problem is the pcm-ecu-ecm, ebay repaired for around 200 and they need the vin number, is this the only part for my van? or can i get one in the yank yard?

If you are sure the computer is the problem... remove the original one and it will have a tag on it with part numbers. Find one at a salvage yard and compare part numbers to make sure they are the same and it should work. The only thing that may cause issues is if the vehicle has a security system and a relearn/reprogram may be required

1996 MAZDA MPV HEAT WONT GET HOT ENOUGH

You need to put a higher temperature thermostat in. Try a 200 degree thermostat and make sure that you have a full radiator. Also you could dilute your antifreeze a little more than 50/50 .
I would also try a 70/ 30 mix. Hope this helps.

Where can i find the spark plugs on a 2004 mazda mpv?

Changing the plugs on the 04 MPV is a pain.

The front three plugs are easy to get to - just remove the black plastic cover over the engin block(3 screws) and they're right there (but deeply recessed in the block).

But you have to remove the manifold to get to the back three plugs. and this kinda sucks. you will need a new manifold gasket set also....... I hope this helps

I repair the motor of my mazda mpv 2002 and it doent started

You need timimg marks, There are the internal marks for installing timing chain, you follow the marks on the crank and cam and line them up, for the Ignition timing you follow the marks on the crankshaft harmonic balance, and the marks on the timimg chain cover for top dead center ect..

Electric window on 98 Mazda MPV motor grinding

Usually, once you get the motor and assembly out, you can just purchase the motor alone and install it on the original assembly. The original motor is most likely riveted in place. You'll have to drill out the rivets. The new motor will either come with small bolts or new rivets, I've seen them both ways. The fun part is reinstalling the entire assembly. My advice is not to buy a cheap motor from say for example Ebay. I bought one for $25.00 and it is slow as molasses, I should have sent it back but that's my point exactly. If you don't buy locally, you might pay less but it's a big pain in the rear to find out that you not only have to R&R the assembly again, but now you have to package it back up, get an RMA, wait to receive the replacement, etc... you see where I'm going with this. Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my responce. Thanks.
