SOURCE: 96 Honda Civic died, then wont restart.

If you can hear the fuel pump cut in, try the mass air flow sensor. MAF.

SOURCE: honda civic 96 will not start have check all electrical and pump

check the oil and make sure it's NOT black, Check air filter, oil filter, and gas filter, check engine fuse, see if spark plugs are ok, check starter, check alternator and belt. if problem still persists please contact me at [email protected]

Your timming belt has jumped a tooth.Remove the covers and check that all teeth are ok.Then tighten or change the timming belt.I would fit a new timming belt.Has it is costly when they fail.Good luck.pippall.

Why do you think the Distributor is out? It's not hard to replace if you have the Haynes repair manual for your vehicle and understand how to get to TDC and line up everything. But it is very rare that a Distributor goes out. If it is not turning it is more likely that your timing Belt has broken than the distributor going bad.

it could help to know what fuse is blowing to what and what you are doing at the time it blows it could be it isn't a large enough fuse the wire is shorting or or the wire caring isn't large enough 4 the load? need more info unless this helps!
