I have an 88 buick century limited, need the location of turn signal relay. I have checked fuse, flasher, and switch, all are in great working condition, even the hazzard lights work, but no signals. I was told it is the turn signal relay and I can purchase the relay, but nobody can give me the location of the relay, I have looked but cannot find, any ideas.

More than likely you have a bad ground. Under the rear of the vehicle, behind the rear bumper there will be a few wires running to a bolt in the frame (left side i think) Check that no wires are loose or boken. Also if you have a trailer wiring harness, check to see if it has not been damaged. Let me know if this helps :)

SOURCE: 1998 buick century only high beams and turn

The Buick Century is equipped with a multi-switch. This switch is an all in one switch that controls your cruise control, windshield wipers and turn signals in one switch. This switch also controls dimming and brightening of your headlights. The dimmer switch is simple to replace, and all you need is a phillips head screwdriver to complete the task.

  1. Removing the Steering Column Shroud
    • Removing the dimmer switch starts at the steering column. To plan this task out, access the steering column by removing the screws holding the steering column shroud in place. This will expose the turn signal lever. Remove the lever by twisting it forward, and pulling it out of the switch.
    Removing the Dimmer Switch
    • The switch is held on by two screws and a wiring harness. The wiring harness can be removed by prying up on the locking tabs and pulling the connector out of the socket. The two screws can be removed with a phillips head screwdriver. The switch will slide out. To install a dimmer switch, be sure to repeat these steps in reverse order.

2001 Buick Century turn signals do not work. Fuse is good. Brake lights work. Where is the relay?

No relay,if they don't come on at all,bet on the turn signal switch,if they come on and don't flash,it's the flasher.
Make sure the emergency flashers aren't on.(if the 4 way flasher is bad and the button is pushed ,it will kill the signals)

Turn signals and 4-way flashers do not work - 1997 Buick Century

Time to change the flasher unit, it's usually close to the drivers side of vehicle and behind a fuse box access panel and will have something like "12v 23/98W " on it. It's a largish cube shaped componant and may be water damaged !

My blinkers sometimes dont work? looked at the fuse and it seemed okay but i replaced it anyway..seemed to work fine for a couple months now its doing it again...could it be an electrical problem or turn...

Try replacing the Flasher Relay. It has 2 relays, one for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights. The one for the turn signals is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, behind instrument panel, mounted on passenger side of steering column.
The hazard flasher is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, above kick panel, mounted in top of convenience panel.
Replace the Turn signal flasher.

Turn signal comes on,but doesn't blink;all 4 hazards work.

Check near the fuse box and the left side under the dash. There are two flasers in a car, one for the hazards and one for the turn signals. You are on the right track for if the hazards are working the bulbs and wiring to the bulbs are eliminated. Once you replace the flasher your problem should be fixed. When checking for the flasher remember they sometimes are clipped or taped up, so feel around as well as looking.

Turn signals dont work

The door lock problem and turn signals are likely unrelated unless there is a fuse that supplies power to both and the turn signal lights simply do not light. Check the fuses. If the turn signals come on but just do not flash, replace the flasher relay. It is located below the left hand side of the steering column.

93 buick century -turn signals

The Buick Century uses separate relays for the hazard warning and turn signal functions. The turn signal relay is located on the accelerator pedal bracket, and the 4-way flasher relay is located on the convenience center near the left kick panel. Try switching these two relays with one another to see if your turn signals work instead of your 4-ways.
