probablt front blower motor or switch, can test blower motor by running auxiliary power and growd to front blower motor. Can test switch with DVOM.
SOURCE: there is a low pitched growling noise coming from
Are you sure the noise is coming from the compressor and not the belt tensioner or other accessories, when you turn the ac on it put more of a load on the engine. If not since the compressor was changed twice was it properly oiled and the clutch turned manually to insure proper lubrication. I am hoping if it is the compressor that the reciever dryer and expansion valve was changed and the ac system was flushed well, to insure no contamination, or blockage damaging the new compressor.

It's the clutch or compressor or the idle pulley for the belt for the AC to check it have someone start it with the hood open and use a broom handle pressed to your ear and put the end of the broom near the ac compressor and turn it on and see if you here it there then shut it off and check near the idler pulley to see if it's there. The stick acts like a doctors stethoscope and amplifies the noise and will allow you to pinpoint the noise more accurately. If it is the clutch it can be replaced without replacingthe whole compressor but you will have to buy it at JC Whitney on line. Many who sell them charge as much as the compressor assembly costs.

Check the Blower Motor Resistor. This controls the Blower Motor/Fan Speed.
