I have a Honda civic LX 2009 and the RPM is 700. I understand that the normal RPM is 900. What could be the reason of the lower RPM on my car? Thanks in advance for your comments

My car has 52,000 miles. Runs perfect THe only thing is that when the car is stop the RPM is on 700 and you feel the engine shake a little bit. Also when AC run the RPM still in 700

I think the idle, in gear, should be about 750 rpm, definitely not 900. If you are looking at the tachometer, it isn't that accurate visually. a scanner should be connected to get an accurate reading. A little vibration at idle is not abnormal. But you might try adjusting the engine mounts to eliminate it.

SOURCE: 2003 Honda Civic -LX Timing belt

90000 Miles on the Timing Belt. Do not let this go! A timing belt failure can cause internal engine problems.

Should cost around 200 or so, depending upon your local labor rates.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: 1994 Honda Civic LX\overheating within 2 mile drive

Remove and raise upper hose at thermostat end and remove lower rad hose.
Fill rad with a hose and watch for flow from bottom rad hose and/ or bottom rad hose connecton.......water should fall though rad easily.
Honda rads are cheap.....any restriction....replace rad.

Remove thermostat....fill thermostat housing with hose and watch for water flow at bottom rad hose.
Flush good.

Remove heater hoses.......flush back and forth until a good flow is present "With heater control set to hot" if no or poor flow....replace heater core.

Stop leak can plug everything.

Also.......not likely causing over heating....but ....at your mileage,if you do not know if the timing belt has been changed.....CHANGE IT NOW!
Water pump is optional at this mileage.

Is a 650 to 750 rpm idle low for a 2009 honda crv or is 650 normal?

its 700 normaly but you can change the idle settings at the dealer some times they go out of calibration, due to a pcm reset or just a battery change, i recomend an idle rpm recalibration it can be done at a local shop with the necesary scanner, i hope it helped you please rate

My distributor is out 96 Honda Civic LX. How hard

Why do you think the Distributor is out? It's not hard to replace if you have the Haynes repair manual for your vehicle and understand how to get to TDC and line up everything. But it is very rare that a Distributor goes out. If it is not turning it is more likely that your timing Belt has broken than the distributor going bad.

2002 Honda Civic LX Front Lower Ball Joint Removal/Install.

I had a question i bought a used control arm for a 2001 honda civic compared it to the original and everything was the same except the part where the ball joint goes into is a few mm thicker on the control arm. Beedless to say i got it in but i had to over tighten to get the nut in all the way. I thought this would stop the rattling sound when i hit a pothole bit its still doing it and i fear the control arm is the incorrect one what other honda has the same control arm as the civic?
