SOURCE: starter 2000 maxima se

Firts disconnect battery. Remoce air filter box. You will see the starter right under neith the air box. You will see a rubber bute. Under the boot is a 12mm wrench size nut. Remove nut. There is a single wire connector. Unplug connector. There are 2 bolts holding the starter to the trans. One of them is pretty big.(19mm socket size ?) and the other is smaller. Remove them both and the starter will come out. Reverse install procedure. Good luck

SOURCE: no sparks from spark plugs in the 97 nissan maxima wont start up

This car has seporate coil packs for each cylinder, have you tried swapping the front bad one with a good one to see if they switch ?
The engine you just put in may have come with some blown coils.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: 1999 Nissan Maxima will not start.

Hello and thanks for using FixYa!

The distributor helps determine spark and injector pulse. I would have that checked as a possibility to your problem.

Thanks Jay!

Why is my nissan maxima loosing power when driving

This sounds like you may need to change your spark plugs. I am not sure of your fuel of choice, but 93 which is a high octane should work better, and dont for get to warm the engine before driving.

How do i change the spark plugs

this job is not for a newbie. so here we go with instructions. i believe you posted under 2003 nissan maxima section for replacing plugs.
remove engine trim cover that covers manifold and valve cover.
remove ign coils on frt valve cover and remove and install new plugs
for rear bank plugs you would need to remove upper intake plenum. disconnect all necessary electrical connectors and vacuum lines. make sure you are aware where the vacuum hoses go for reinstallation.
remove ign coils on rear bank valve cover. remove and install new plugs.
reassemble all parts.

1990 Nissan Stanza 2.4 Liter Engine miss. This is a used car we just bought, has 112,000 miles on it and it only happens when I put the transmission in drive or reverse. It does not happen when in park....

could just need a tune up,you could also pull of the distributor cap and look for oil intrusion, if there is you will need to replace the distributor

2000 nissan maxima misfires on cold start repaced

Try spraying an aerosol oil around the intake manifold and around any vacuum lines and connections with the engine running. If you hear a change in the engine speed than you've got a vacuum leak. Thank you, Dana

First thing to try would be spark plug wires. Then your timing, and check for vacuum leaks. ie: broken or loose vacuum lines, loose intake bolts, etc. But it sounds like plug wires.
