If you had someone else do the change. take it back! If you DIY
I guess you learned something, you forgot a new grease seal, or you forgot the retention device for the retention nut and it has now
backed off enough to destroy the seal and possibly the bearing. DIY need a repair manual! Your auto parts store may carry
Or filepeep.com may, or manualslib.com probably has.
this is your CV shaft not the wheel bearing, yes the boot breaks and the grease escapees then it runs dry and wears out hence the clicking noise on turns, you will need to undo shaft retaining nut in centre of hub and on 99% of vehicles you will need to disconnect strut or suspension ball joint to get sufficent travel to remove it,once shaft is removed the joint can be removed and a new boot slid over the shaft, this can be quite tricky on some vehicles, especially european ones
It's the Constant Velocity Joint (CVJ) on the front offside wheel. Will either need re-greasing (short term fix) or replacing.
Check that the surrounding boot (on inside of wheel) has not split allowing grease to escape
your cv joint on that side isgone bad. the grease comes from a torn boot that covers the joint. you need to have this fixed right away. if it breaks all the way it can lock up the front wheel and cause a lot more damage. possibly an accident. good luck
Is the tire worn from rubbing against anything?
Check your rubber boots on the CV joints of that wheels half shaft to makes sure they are not cracked. If the grease leaks out, there will be a lot of heat build up, and stuff will roast. Check wheel bearings while you are at it.
