I have a 99 s10 andd it wont start it has a new fule pump filter and presser and oil presser rag and new catconverter and spark plugs and nw coil new relay too any ideas it cranks but wont start and i cant hear the pump turn on and i bought 3 of them i also changeed the crank senser to any ideas plesase help
Question: 4 or6 cylinder? Crank engine over and then see if spark plugs are wet. If so your getting fuel into the cylinder and injectors are ok and the ECM is firing the injectors. I no fuel on plugs you either have no fuel pressure or the ECM is not firing the injectors.
Next check and see if you have spark by grounding a plug and then cranking engine over and see if there is spark.
If no spark find ECM and tap on it while some one cranks it over and see if it starts. It sound like you have a defective ECM.
I think I have the solution for ya. In a lot of GM's the security fails. and when it does it will not allow car to start. I know a module that can bypass it and for a very reasonable price and u can install yourself! check it out and see if this is it

VSS or vehicle speed sensor aka cam sensor or crank position sensor. Test the battery and alternator. You should also check for blown fuses, bad wires and grounds on a car as old as yours. If you find it's getting spark and fuel after further testing, check the timing belt. It could have slipped or broke even if it was changed recently so either pull off the cover or at least do a compression test.

It sounds like you have a security problem, I had the same thing it would fire and run for half of a second and then that was it if anything at all. Had the security system rebooted, now it starts and runs fine.

Yes. First, in the fuse block under the hood check INJ A fuse and INJ B fuse. INJ A fuse is circuit 1039 which feeds the coil. If the fuse is OK, replace the coil electrical connector. I stock 2 of these at my dealership because they are needed quite often.
FYI P1351 is an ignition coil control circuit DTC.

Ok...you mentioned that there is no spark coming from the coil when it's in no start...Is there power from the alternator going to the coil?
One other item...If the timing chain is worn and stretched, it is possible that the cam sensor and crank sensor are out of phase with each other, just enough where a temperature difference will change starting ability.
One question...while in no start, have you tried changing the throttle position while cranking to see if it lights at part or 3/4 throttle?
