How to installA transmission automatic of a 2008

I would have said no way! Two different makes and AWD v 2WD, but they look similar.

I think the part is called the blend door actuator.
1.You have to remove the plastic cover on passenger side. Motor is located over the transmission hump.
2. Remove wiring harness plug.
3. Remove 3 hex head screws.
You need a small 1/4 socket set.

run the fault codes to find any transmission faults. Use a scanner to reset the CPU program

AIR FILTER NEEDS CHANGED TRANSMISSION FILTER & FLUID NEEDS CHANGED MASS AIR SENSOR IS NOT READING ACCURATE ; OXYGEN SENSOR MAY BE GOING BAD;TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP COULD BE MORE WRONG!?

check to see if u have a faulty speed sensor if the transmission does not get a speed input it will not shift

is your Ranger a 4wd or 2wd ?

WELL I WOULD SAY FUEL FILTER BUT IT IS IN FUEL TANK IT IS PART OF THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY.CHECK THE APP SENSOR LOCATED ON TOP OF ACCELERATOR PEDAL.MAKE SURE PEDAL IS TIGHT AND MAKE SURE THE WIRE GOING TO APP SENSOR INTACT NOT LOOSE OR DAMAGED.IF ALL IS GOOD HAVE TRUCK SCANNED FOR ANY APP SENSOR CODES.CHECK TRANSMISSION FUSE ALSO.

could be just a shift solinoid ,a tranny shop can scan it and replace it.

it may be the fan belt. The belt may need tightend or need a new one.
