I have a 2005 Toyota Prius with. Jbl 6-disk changer. All 6 slots currently have store bought CDs -no homemade labels or anything weird. The CD player shows now error message and will play the CDs and easily switches between the CDs, but is not able to eject the CDs. Any ideas as to why the eject button is not working or what the problem might be? (Yes, I am definitely pushing the correct eject button, not the one for the cassette deck below) Any information to shed some light on the problem and possible solutions is very appreciated. Thanks!

There is probably a belt drive involved in the ejection process. If it has stretched and is slipping, the eject will not take place.

Take it to the dealership, your G35 should have a 4 year bumper to bumper on it. They'll replace the radio under warranty most likely.

SOURCE: Bose 6 cd changer factory installed will not function.

Some people with this issue have had some sucess disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the stereo. After re-connecting the battery, the stereo should reset and the error message should clear at which point the CD player should also function. Apart from this, a service call at a dealer or a car stereo repair specialist are the only alternatives. Best of luck.

SOURCE: CD player error

I have the same problem. I agree with no. 1 - it fixed itself when I had work done on the car and they disconnected the battery. It is part of a **** load of electrical problems Ford has with this windstar (ie ABS, wacked out dash indicator lights) and they don't know how or won't do a dame thing about it. What a pain the the a_ _.. Hard pressed to buy another Ford after all this.

Cd player error

so is this a stock RAD/cd?
stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model #
mp3 and wma format. but not DVD
or
JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer
io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new.

and now comes the big question.
TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that.

is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first)
is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that.
or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media
is music MP3? files.
see, the old units dont play modern media.

try 2 real discs, not scratched.
do they play?
one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the
p/n off it. (hard) then look up the product data sheet on it,
bingo, what it can and can not do is there.

but this does it all, mostly
does what yours will not do.

2000 jeep grand cherokee limited 10 disk cd changer says ''err''

The in-trunk units have a tendancy to go bad. you can take the cover plastic interior cover off to access the CD changer, un bolt the changer, and visualy inspect the two rollers for debris, or missing /broken gears that move the rollers to take the CD from the CD cartrage to the player. if that looks fine, chances are that the laser went bad (common in rear mount units) and you can order a new one from Jeep, or you can remove it and update the in-dash head to an aftermarket of your choice (& yes you steering wheel controls will still work). you could also fit a more modern MP3 unit where the Changer was.

are there any cd's with homemade labels ,how many cd's are loaded?the dealer will recommend to remove the radio and send out for repair costing you a couple hundo or more depending on the problem if you're out of warranty, you'll also be out a radio until its repaired,if your factory warranty is still in they will just order an exchage unit and call you for install when it arrives. hope this helps, good luck!

CD changer problem disable play or reject CD function

I sould checkyou phone book to see if there is a bussiness that repairs car radios and cd players.
Other wise you should look into a new cd player at a local electronic store that sells car radios and cd players. The last option is to go to the dealer and order another one.

JBL Error 1

Error one is unique to the disc being inserted into the player.
According to the service manual, this is the exact statement:

Err 1 appears on the display:
This indicates that the disc is dirty, scratched, damaged, incorrect (as in a "burnt" disc), or has been inserted upside down. Clean the disc or insert it correctly.

Toyota CD players are very sesnitive, and the svc manual specifically mentions not to use anything other than "store-bought" CDs.

Toyota dashboard CD player won't eject

I had this say problem with my 2000 solara. Here is the fix, remove one of the car battery terminals for a couple of mins (3-4mins). The reattach the battery terminal back. This would make your cd player and car clock reset. once you start your car you should be able to eject the cds. You'll just need to reprogram all your preset radio station. Hope it helps
