The gears don't switch over after 3rd gear. I was told that I don't have to take the car in, I can reset this myself. Does anyone know how to do this?

check your gear oil
if your having a hard time to switch in the gear then you will have to change the clutch

in automatic transmission box has two solenoids that were broken , so they must be changed , because I am peugeot specialist in Australia.

If your car is a manual gear change, your clutch may need adjusting or repair or the gearbox oil may need changing.
If your car is an auto check to see if you are using the correct transmission fluid , Peugeot autos do not use normal ATF and will fail if the correct fluid is not used.
