Why does my 04 nissan maxima. Keep turning. Off on

for most maxima's .. hold the trip counter in when you turn on the ignition .. a few models have a little rubber cork that you remove .. that exposes a push button ..

There are 2.
One is on the side of the master, and one is located on top of the slave. Some aftermarket slaves have them on the bottom.

It is always attached to the intake or throttle body in the one piece either below sticking to intake or is either at the throttle and is the only one with an electric plug on to it, on the Maxima 04 I know that it is s ingle piece with the throttle body.....and is held by 4 screws and the gasket most of the times can be reused....

somebody thrashed the life out of it before you got it ,or didnt check the oil in the running in period

adjust the idling, if too low then it can't sustain the power needed to keep the engine running when it engages.

most likely you have a bad wheel bearing. It is very comen for a wheel bearing to go bad after an accident.
