Did you check for spark at any ot the spark plug wires/ coils? If there is, check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Take the port cap off and connect a fuel pressure gauge. If one is not available, with a pocket screw driver deppress valve at port and observe if fuel pours out. If no fuel comes out at all, check your fuel pump circuit. Check for good ground and power at fuel pump connector. If power/ground are ok, replace fuel pump. If spark and good fuel pressure is present, there is the possibility of engine mechanical issues(jumped) timing chain). Also, a plugged catalitic wont let engine start but its very unlikely thats your problem. Start with your basics: spark, fuel, engine mechanical and catalitic.
it could be the system utility of the car computer its protecting,the car ,if you have a friend or somebody lets you borrow a compu and check to verify its not the computer,start to send you codes,you just said after fix one another comes out,sometimes are the wires too
check for spark at the spark plugs, there have been a lot of trouble with the distributor caps and rotor. Be sure it has the correct AC Delco spark plugs and good wires. Be sure to use AC Delco or GM parts.
The primary voltage signal that produces the spark in the ignition coil comes from the distributor, but the secondary voltage that actually fires the spark plugs does come from the ignition coil, and then it is sent to the distributor usually through a coil wire where it is "distributed" out to the correct spark plug.
Check the timing and make sure the vacuum hose for the advance is not leaking or cracked. Also make sure it is plugged into the front of the carb at the base.
If the timing is dead on and there are a lot of miles on the timing chain, bump the timing ahead 1 or maybe 2 degrees to compensate for chain stretch. That may help.
It could also be that the vacuum advance on the distributor has started leaking and may need to be replaced. You cuold also try a tank ot high test or premium gas. That has been known to get rid of spark knock. Hope this helps.
do you have spark coming from your coil to distributor,or no spark right from coil? if you have spark coming from coil, and nothing at any plugs,check you dist. cap and rotor button.Chrysler's are famous for the cap and rotor button to corrode,you may be able to just clean the corrosion off with some fine sand paper,or might have to replace them. if you have no spark coming from coil,check for power and ground to coil.if both are present, replace coil.
Is the knock sensor, mass air flow sensor and all other necessary sensors plugged in? Also there is a hanger bracket on the front of the engine that shares the front two bolts of the intake manifold and there's about 3-4 ground wire terminals that attach to this bracket and the wires come off of the fuel injector wiring harness. I would check these things and any other obvious electrical connections.
