SOURCE: 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan Horn Not Working

The most common problem with this is the clockspring, it is located just under the steering wheel. It will cause the horn not to work, airbag light to come on, and the cruise not to work. There is probably a recall on this. Contact a local dealer to see if the recall applies to your car.

SOURCE: how to change the air filter on a 1998 dodge grand caravan sport 3.3 l

The air filter is located towards the bottom of the engine compartment on the drivers side. It is hard to see if unless you know where it is. To get to it start by removing the two 8mm or 10mm screws which hold a piece of plastic duct work to the radiator support bracket. Next loosed the two worms clamps which hold on the round intake duct work to the engine. All of this is located on the drivers side. After these clamps are loosened remove that portion of the intake, you will have to pull a black tube off of this portion of intake also. Just remember to put it back on later. Now you should be able to see down inside the engine compartment. You will see a black box on your right side. The cover for this box is held on by metal clips. When you unclip these clips this cover will open and expose the air filter. Simply pull the air filter out and replace it with a new one. Installation is the exact reversal of this procedure. I hope this helps and please don't forget to rate me.

To install:
  1. Place the blower motor assembly into position on the A/C-heater unit and tighten the mounting screws.
  2. Route the blower motor wiring through the blower motor housing and seat the wiring grommet in the hole of the blower motor housing.

How do I bypass a/c on 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question moved from Television and video to Dodge Grand Caravan category.

'disconnect tunes and such'?? 'tubes'?

You disconnect everything and you fit a Bypass Pulley. This enables you to use the same size belt and it keeps the serpentine belt routing the same.

Removal of the AC compressor is half of replacing it. There are videos here.

I need to replace the windshield wiper blade

The 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan takes 28" wiper blades on both sides front and a 18" rear wiper. See related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.

How do i remove the windshield wiper blade

The 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

What does the code pe0700 on a 1998 grand caravan mean

Hi,
Prefix pe is not a valid OBD II code, however, P0700 = Automatic transmission fault detected.
That is a generic code and usually one or more codes will follow that at some point, but not nessesarily. Dodge Caravan transmissions are fully computer controlled and are plagued with problems. If you are experiencing transmission symptoms including poor shifting and even erratic speedometer readings, reply with your symptoms,we can lead you to the possible cause....Mike
