Where will i find my diagnostic location port

Just fixed mine- Cigarette lighter had a blown fuse , which is also the fuse for the diagnostic port. Check your owners manual to locate diagnostic port fuse,

THE PORT SHOULD BE TO THE RIGHT OF THE STEERING COLUMN. THERE SHOULD BE A RECTANGULAR HOLE IN THE COVER THAT IS UNDER THE DASHBOARD .LOOK HARD WITH A FLASH LIGHT AND YOU WILL FIND IT.GOOD LUCK HUNTING.

Hi, It is located behind the ashtray, it has to be removed to access the diagnostic port.

On the old Volkswagen Passat B5 (MY 1997-2001) the Data Link Connector (DLC) or diagnostic port is placed on the right side of the parking brake lever, under a small rectangle rubber cover. See pictures below:





On the new Volkswagen Passat B5 (after MY 2001) the Data Link Connector (DLC) or diagnostic port is placed on the panel above pedals. See pictures below:
