The problem you have described is consistent with a bad blower motor resistor. The resistors are readily available from your local parts store. The resistor is located behind the glove and usually held in place with two screws. Either an 8mm or 7mm will be needed to remove them.

Likely there is nothing wrong with the fan itself, but you will need to replace the switch that controls it. That should solve the problem.

did you check the recall items for this?

It is the blower motor resistor. Look under the passanger side dash and locate the fan housing (looks round and black in color. Then locate the resistor it will be in that housing usually withtwo ten millimeter nuts or two simple screws holding it in. unplug the harness to the resistor and remove the resistor. Part store price is approx. 50.00. Note: on aftermarket (not Jeep) resistor sometimes you have to modify the housing a little to get it in. Hope this helps.

OK. So the blower notor isn't operating. Do you have power to the blower motor? The resistor is new from what I got. If you don't have power to the blower motor, then check the speed control switch and fuses. If you have power at the blower motor, replace the blower motor
