Cowl drain is located under the cowl. the cowl is the plastic trim cover in front of the lower portion of your windshield. you may have excessive leaves or debri that clogged the drain and is not allowing water to flow out from the behind the empty space behind the firewall.

SOURCE: floor board on passenger side door gets wet when it rains. i am sure a vent drain is clogged

The drains in the wiper wells are probably clogged. You need to remove the plastic 'vent screen' under the wipers to clear out the debris. Remove the wipers and a few screws, not difficult at all. Also, under the hood, you will see a vertical tube on each side of the car under the wiper wells. These can be removed from under the hood without removing the wipers, but you will probably have to clear the wells anyway. What happens is the water backs up and enters the car through the fresh air inlet and comes in around the blower fan. Good Luck.

SOURCE: 2002 Honda Accord Wet Floor

most common problem is the a/c condensor tube is clogged and is under the car and needs to be cleared with compressed air. also the sunroof track has 4 drain tubes and the right front may be clogged or leaking. you can check that by pouring a cup of water down the right front drain tube in the sunroof track and see if water comes out by the right front wheel

SOURCE: MY 1996 buick skylark olympic edition leaks water

Taste the water and if it is sweet it is coolant leaking from the heater core. If it does not taste sweet it is a leak somewhere else. What you suspect is very possible. Start by making sure the drain hose is clear an not clogged. Then check the window gasket. A water hose left running on the window slightly will tell you where the leak is coming from.

SOURCE: 2000 buick century rain water leak: The rain

turn wiper on until straight up then turn off ignition.
Open hood and disconnect the hard washer hose from the clips on the passenger side cowling.
remove the 3 plastic screw/ clips that hold the cowling in place and remove it.
Check the cabin filter is properly seated .. (probably needs replacement anyway).
Most of type of these cars (GM) have the same issue with the cabin filter If the gasket wears out or it;s not seated properly or missing completely water enters through the vent

Where should I look for rain water leak?

Most water leaks come from around the windshield area. Has the windshield been replaces recently? If so it may not be sealed properly. Another area where water may penetrate is through the cowling area under the wiper blades/arm where fresh air enters the car. There are water drains under this cowling allowing water to drain and if they are plugged with leaves/debris, water will enter the vehicle. Is the vehicle rusted around the windshield area? If so, suspect this to be the source of water intrusion. Most glass/windshield repair companies will diagnose water intrusion problems

1: heater core leaks. (green water)
2: A/C condensate tray drain plugged.
3: or its rain water, if rain water, the windshield cracked?

Where would water intrusion come from on the driver side of truck?

Any chance it is connected to the drain for the air conditioner ? Usually a plugged drain will dump water on the passenger side floor.
There may also be a split in a seam in the firewall or cowl where water will seep into the interior over time from a previous rain.

Drive side soaked floor boards.

Could be a plugged drain for the windshield or cowl vents, or the door gasket.
You could try using a garden hose or take it to a body shop.

After rain passenger side floor of car is flooded

the water is most likely coming through the cowl and through the heater box to your floor. you would have to disassemble the cowl (plastic part between hood and windshield) and inspect the seal there.

The passenger side of the car on the floor front and back gets wet only when it rains i think its coming from the front of the car (hood) what do i do thanks!

I woul look to see if the cowl drains on wither side of the cowl panel are clear form leaves and dirt. When it is dry, pour water into the cowl vent, under the hood. Water should drain out behind each tire, from the body. Ithe water does not run out, you will need to remove the cowl, and clean out the drains.
