The button on my Kia Sedona gear shift is stuck

The button on my Kia Sedona gear shift has been getting stuck. Then yesterday I put my van in park but it wouldn't let me shut the car off completely & take the key out. Any ideas?

Hi. Thanks for your question. This seems like a technical issue. However, you can also visit https://www.reliable-store.com and download the entire service manual which will help you in fixing brake lights. It has all the information along with the diagrams for better understanding. Good day!

there is something wrong with your SYNCRONIZER. it is a device located inside your transmission that is responsible for smooth gear shifting at any rpm's. i have not yet heard of syncronizer repair, so it possibly means that you just need to have it replaced. this is not a DIY job. have a transmission mechanic fix your problem

We have same problem before and the solution is replace the solenoid that control the gear change. It is difficult to do that, let KIA mechanic to do that.
