Had a problem with a right, amber side marker on my trailer. The side marker worked by grounding to the trailer. I had to replace the bulb due to it burning and creating an electrical problem. I worked with it prior to going out, and they all worked. Later all the lights (running) were out. Brakes, and both turn signals worked. After jiggling the wires on the side marker, all lights came on again, then went off. Finally, I bought a new side marker. The new side marker, which has 2 wires (brown and white) does not ground to the trailer, to work. I can also switch either way and the side marker still works. Now, running lights on the left side work, both turn and stop lights work but the right side running lights does not work. It can't be a fuse because the left side running lights work. Could it be a bulb on the right rear that connects all my lower middle lights not to work?
Usually one of the holes in the marker light where screw goes in, has metal contact where screw meets light, but if not, and they are not push in wire connection type from behind, then just run your white wire up through hole in housing, and bare the end & tighten it up under screw holding light to body. White should be ground, brown should be power.
