SOURCE: Location Of Starter relay switch

sometimes its the simple things. On the foot pedal for the clutch are rubber grommets that push the switch in on the manual trans. they get old and fall off or develop holes in them so the switch does not get depressed.

SOURCE: starter relay

Solution #2 by dr4saturns was on the money. The bundle of wires was easy to get to and u can see where the wires connect (w/ flashlight). I wiggled the wires and .. Bam! Car started right up. I've been searching the internet (a lot!) and have seen many people with this same problem .. good battery, starter is good, dash lights work, headlights work but no dim when trying to start. No dome lights, no radio, no door chime, no door locks. Now I just need to find a fuse box but i'm not sure it's within my scope to replace, seems a bit complicated for a shadetree mechanic. Thanks dr4saturns!

SOURCE: oil filter location 1995 saturn sc1

The oil filter is located on the back of the engine (between the engine and the firewall) and is located on the passenger side above the oil pan. They are relatively easy to get off if you have an oil filter ratchet adapter available at your parts store. Make sure you get the right size if they do not offer and adjustable version.

SOURCE: Where is the starter relay located in a 2000

It appears to be in the wiring under the dash above pedals. Photo I saw shows 2 relays taped inline in a wire bundle.

2000 SL 3.0 Saturn trying to locate starter relay

That vehicle does not have a starter relay. Does the vehicle have automatic or manual transmission? Turning the key to start sends battery voltage to the clutch switch with a manual trans. and trans. range switch with automatic trans to the s terminal on the starter solenoid. You probably have contact problems inside ignition switch.

1997 Saturn sc1 starting issues, sounds like an issue lots of Saturn's have and want to check starter relay but don't know where it is or what to do

Your starter relay should be in the power distribution center under the hood. You should also have a fuel pump and cooling fan relays right next to it. The under side of the power distribution center lid should be labeled as to what is where. Just swap places with one as they should all be the same part number.

Were is horn relay for sc1 1.9 4 cyl. saturn 1999

The horn system consists of a single horn, a horn relay located in the underhood fuse block, and driver controlled horn switch in the steering wheel. The horn system is designed to provide the driver with an audible warning to signal pedestrians, other drivers, etc.
Operation
Voltage is supplied to the horn relay coil and contacts at all times through a 10 amp HORN fuse, located in the underhood fuse block. When the driver pushes the horn pad, driver air bag module, the circuit completes and energizes the horn relay coil. This causes the horn relay contact to close. When the contact closes, current travels to the horn and the horn emits an audible warning.

Starter location on saturn sc1 1999

The Starter is located under the intake manifold on th back bottom side of the motor!
The only way to remove it is from under the car!
Remove the Neg Battery terminal from the battery before going under the car.
If I recall correctly, there are (2) 14 or 15mm bolts holding it to the engine block, one of them is a Blind bolt, as you will only be able to feel its location on the back side of the starter. (tip, when replacing the bolt behind the starter, either have a small magnet inside the socket to hold the bolt inside the socket while tring to locate the hole. You could also use a small piece of paper or plastic bag to wedge the bolt head to the socket so it doesn't fall out while tring to locate the hole!
You will also have a 13mm nut holding the Positive battery and Alt. cable to the starter and a 10mm nut holding the wire coming from the ignition switch.
Hope this helps!
Happy Saturn Motoring!
