How to locate and relpace Solenoid C in2008 Kia Spectra

It is attached to the bell housing on the drivers side. The starter is located in the back of the engine, under the intake manifold.

if you want to make sure if there is chip/transponder in your key, you can test it using silver paper (the one from inside the cigarette pack), wrap properly the plastic handle of your key and make sure the only thing can see is the metal from your key. then start your engine and if it does't start , it means there is chip built in in your key.

If it is the starter solenoid you are refering too, it is nearest the firewall, mounted to the engine through the transmission. Should be 3 bolts I believe. It is part of the starter mounted directly on top. If "no crank" is the issue, then you may be looking at replacing the starter motor with solenoid assembly. You can actually get a better look from underneath the vehicle just above the right hand(passenger side) axle where it goes into the transmission.
