use test light. With taillights on, probe the wire the lights the test light. That is for your brown wire. With left turn signal on, probe for that wire. That would be for your yellow. Repeat for the right side for your green.
Yellow wire/left signal and stop lamp.Green wire/right signal and stop lamp.Brown wire runs the tail lights.White wire is ground.Blue wire goes to the trailer brakes and the break away switch.Black wire is a 12 volt switched power wire and the red wire is for back-up lights.
Trailer end; Red=Brake
Brown=Running lights
Yellow=Left
Green=Right
White=Ground
You will need a turn and brake signal box IF, you have different bulbs for brake and turn lamps. If the brake and turn bulbs are one(red)lens than no box will be required. Thanks, Dana
You can buy an adapter that will go in between your rear lights & main harness under van at connector, that will allow you to hook it up correctly. If it's a small trailer & no brakes on it, you may get a way with a flat 4 connection, provided your signals & brakes light use same bulb, otherwise you will need a small inline converter wired in also. Get back if you need more clarification. If only flat 4 and no brakes req'd, you can splice in to wires inside rear hatch that go to tailights. You decide & let me know if you need help. P.S. All you need is a test light (12v) and some connectors.

I found out it had a after market trailer hitch lighting, and it had its own little circut board, and the board was all burnt up. So all I did was cut the wires and took the wiring harness out and works like new...
