Charge battery and then start car then pull off the positive led off Battery with the car running if car stops running once you pulled Potitive off battery then then yes its bad alternator.

Try Checking your battery cables. Make sure they are tight, if they are then check the connections to your alternator and your ground wires from your battery. you may either have a bad battery or a bad alternator. One way to test the alternator is to jump start the car then disconnect the battery with the car running.. if the car dies then u have a bad alternator... the Alternator should provide enough voltage to keep the car running on its own..
You could have gotten a bad alternator, it has happened.
I don't think it could be a bad fusable link, cause if it was you would have had a problem right off with the new one.
Have the battery checked, it might be bad, weak or dead cells. if that is the case, the alternator is over charging and burning out.
CHECK ALTERNATOR OUTPUT.MAKE YOUR VOLTAGE OUT PUT IS 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS.IF NOT ALTERNATOR BAD IF ALTERNATOR GOOD THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO HOOK CAR TO DIAGNOSTIC TO CHECK THE ENGINE PCM CONTROLS AND ABS BRAKES AND TRAC.SYSTEM.REASON I SAID ALTERNATOR BECAUSE I SEEN ALTERNATOR GO BAD UNTIL IT OUTPUT WAS LOW CAUSING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT TO COME ON.
Could be couple of things,
A bad battery not holding a charge, should be a little over 12 volts with engine off.
A bad alternator not charging, should put out between 14 to 15 volts with engine running.
If there is an advanced auto near you, take them there, they will check them for free.
to check alternator, undo batt cable while car is running if car dies alternator is bad. replace alternator (some are bad from factory) cars dont need battery to run just to start.
I need more information please, bad wiring... not enough will need to know more, such as, The wires to the alternator are bad, previous owner did a bad wiring job to the alternator, or i messed up the wiring to the alternator and need some advice.
