SOURCE: 2008 Ford F-250 Low beams do not work. High beams are fine.

just remove all the connections as it could be malfunction in the switches and the wirings needs to be rechecked to make it proper.other option could be bad dimmer switch. You will need to replace the turn signal/ dimmer switch as an assembly.to replace you will need to disable the air bag, drop the column, pull the wheel

SOURCE: LOW BEAMS NOT WORKING 2002 FORD FOCUS

Hi. i recommend a thorough inspection of the wiring harness and harness connectors that led to the actual headlights. use a volt meter to test the current flow to the connectors. pull the connectors from the back side of the headlights and test all cooper contacts inside the connectors. If the wire contacts all show voltage, this will confirm a switch malfunction. it should be replaced in this case.

Now, if one or more contacts on the wires harness fail to produce any voltage, this will confirm a faulty wiring harness. replace the wiring harness in this case.

Make sure the headlight switch is in the on position when testing the wires.

My headlights went out dont know what the problem is low beam dont work high beams works

it may be the dimmer switch located on the base of the steering colume that is not working on the low beam side.also the headlights themselves may need changing if the low beam filament is burnt out and you didn`t realize one was burnt out then the other one burnt out.if that`s not the case then it could be a bad connection at the plug connector for the low beam or for some reason power is lost between the switch and the headlight.you don`t say if this has day time running lights,if it does then it could be the drl relay that is bad.

My low beam headlights do not work as daytime running lights or manually with the headlight knob pulled out . The high beam headlights however do work if I have the knob pulled out all the way with the...

Check out your fuse associate with the low beam headlight, secondly there is a relay fuse under fuse rely box under the hoos. Locate this box, and locate the relay fuse associated to the low beam. You can rotate the relay with another relay of the same spec to see if the low beam lights are coming on. I would believe that it is a fuse that is blown, check your owners manaual on the location of the fuse box. Usually it's located in the driver side kick panel.

Headlights went out. Replaced bulbs and switch and still lights don't work. Fog lights and high beams work? What else can work?

If high beams work and low beams do not, then it is probably the high/low relay. It is part number 15016745 and has four prongs. To test if your relay has gone bad locate the relay in your fuse box. There will be two of these relays located next to each other. One controls the low beam headlights and the other the cooling fan. Swap the relays and check your low beam headlights. If the low beams work you have a bad relay.

I have a 2005 dodge caravan. the headlights have

On the van you have a high beam fuse and relay. On the low beam you also have a fuse and relay. Check the fuse/relay panel for a blown fuse controlling the low beam lights. If you do not find a blown fuse have some one to turn the key on and turn on the high beam lights> During this time locate the low beam headlight relay and place your finger on top of relay, have the other person to switch from high beam to low beam lights. You should feel a click in the relay when they make the switch from high to low beam. If not replace the relay and the problem should go away. Hope this will help you.

My headlights dont work,.all other lights are fine though,.is it the fuses or the bulbs? im not sure what fuses they would be,.there seem to be different ones for the same thing

do your flash to pass lamps light when you pull the stalk towards you? If yes, the bulbs are ok.
Do the hig beams work?
Your headlamps have sepaerate fuses for each headlamp and you have a low beam relay and a high beam relay under the hood in the black box.
If everything is out, I suspect a bad headlamp switch.
Check car-part.com and look on page with * for cheapest price.

Your owner manual will identify fuses & relays.

PS, You did not recently instal high current bulbs did you? If yes, put originals back in.

HEADLAMPS

The voltage is supplied to the lamp switch through a fuse. This fuse is located in the central junction box in the left-hand footwell.
When the headlamps are switched on, a voltage is supplied to the high beam/low beam switch and to the low beam relay. The relay for the low beam is located in the battery junction box (BJB) in the engine compartment.
If the high beam/low beam switch is set to "low beam", then a voltage is supplied through the low beam relay to the low beam part of the headlamp assembly. The left and right-hand low beams are fused separately. The fuses are located in the battery junction box (BJB) in the engine compartment.
If the high beam/low beam switch is set to "high beam", then a voltage is supplied through the high beam relay to the high beam part of the headlamp assembly. The left and right-hand high beams are fused separately. The fuses are located in the battery junction box (BJB) in the engine compartment.
