Why wont my cd player accept cds?

could mean it has a jammed cd stuck in it or the kids have pushed two cds into it ,best advice is to buy a new radio with usb and sd card support and not bother with the cd player at all .

I have a 2001 chrysler town and country. cds got stuck in the 4 cd changer. I took the player out, removed the cds but now cds wont go in all the way and the display reads err. radio works fine, tape...

Sounds like the ejector has become jammed, probably from repeatd failed attempts to eject the stuck cd's.
There isn't much you can do about it, repair on that unit will probably cost more than a better aftermarket replacement

CDs are stuck and CD player will not work. Factory six-disc radio. New CDs.Third new factory radio with same problem. Any ideas on getting the CDs out?

From everything I've heard, this is a very common problem and can be costly to have repaired. One forum I found had this posting...maybe it will work for you.

"This is what I did to my In-Dash 6 disc CD Player.

Rather that toss the radio like most are saying to do you can try this first.

Pull the radio out and remove the screw on each side and the 2 on the back. Pop off the cover and you can see the CD's. The part of the CD changer may have not fully engaged the CD it wanted to play and it is stuck not knowing what to do. Press on the CD that so that the part that spins the CD is locked into the center of the CD. Leave the top open and plug in the CD player. It should start going through all of the cd's then if the CD error is gone it will play again."

Cd in car player will NOT eject -any ideas ??

The only way to fix your problem is to have a radio repair shop take it apart. You cannot fix this on your own. Remove the radio or get a quote from a repair shop first. If you cannot find a repair shop , talk to the parts guys at you local ford dealer about sending it out for repair.

Toyota Matrix 2005 CD stuck

More than likely, you have 2 cds stuck in one slot. What you have to do is remove the radio form the dash, and then remove the top metal panel on the radio. Plug the radio back in, and press eject. You may have to "help" one or two of the cds out of the player.

CD Player Quit Working

the only thing i can sagest is that you leave the battery disconnected over night this may reset the cd player and it may Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Recognise that it has cds in it
the only other thing i can think of is that when it says enter single disk only that you do so to a point don't let it go all the way in
this may make the cd player think there is a disk in there
hope this helps

Cd player

The CD input slot is not hidden. You should be able to see it, BUT, if a CD is stuck in the player, there is a "door" that closes and will not let you put a CD in. If so, the radio must be removed, and the CD extracted.

DASHBOARD

Emissionwiz is correct, this is just a matter of getting everything lined up.
Regarding the stuck CD, try this: Remove the radio from the dash. UNPLUG all of the connectors behind the radio. Wait for 1 minute. Then plug them all back in. See if the radio "comes back to life". I encounter this situation quite often, 9 time out of 10 I can bring the radio back on, and then eject the CD. Also note that Camry CD players really HATE "burnt" or "copied" CDs. These types of Cds stick in the player all of the time.
